Actually, Firefox is 50 bazillion quatrillion times faster than Safari.

Who writes this crap?

And is Safari bundled with QuackTime?

Firefox is fast enough and it doesn’t force me into a single source for hardware.

It came on my brand new macbook. And it is awesome.

After building computers since 1996, this is my very first apple product.

And I gotta say... it is adorable.

I use Firefox with the NoScript add-on.
Why would I want to load javascript 3.5x faster?

Switched to Chrome sometime back, nice to see it’s almost as fast.

It certainly smokes IE7(reason I made the switch), I occasionally have to use IE for a couple of sites and amazing how much slower that beast is.

I really can't believe how bad IE7 is. It hangs all the time on a system I used IE6 for over a year with no problems at all.
Good thing it's on my gaming rig - no web surfing done there - strictly games with a very stripped down XP OS (250gig HD with 192 gig free!).

IE loads fast for me. So what if a browser can load even faster than I can detect.

They said “up to 30 times faster” and it’s 42 times faster. A computer company UNDERSTATED how much faster its product is? I’m impressed.

We need one of our Apple haters to say “They promised 30x and gave 42x. Apple lied to me!”

I have been using Safari for the last few weeks and it appears to be the fastest browser out there, at least for me. I downloaded the latest version yesterday. I cannot go directly to outlook express from Safari which is a major drag. But its speed makes up for this. Like any new browser it is just a matter of getting used to it.

I’m trying out the Safari beta now. It is faster than IE6. Is there any way to import all my many bookmarks from IE6, does anyone know?

I confess... I am a computer dummy.

I downloaded it, then installed it, did restart and when I opened Safari, a very impressive screen filled my monitor. I hit the FR file, it opened. I clicked to close FR and the entire screen closed. Now when I hit Safari, nothing new!

What am I not understanding or what did I do wrong??

The bata did download, I checked that.

Thanks for any help.

Doesn’t the macbook come with any games? Solitaire, mindsweeper, freecel, texas holdem.... anything?

I’ll tell ya.... I need to practice with this trackpad. I keep changing the text/font size by mistake and the only way I can figure out to undo it is from the view tab. haha

:D
