Using The U.S. Military to Round Up U.S. Citizens and Confiscate Their Private Weapons

Posted on 02/18/2009 1:33:35 PM PST by FortWorthPatriot

There have been several posts on different threads where this topic has been discussed. Some FReepers say our U.S. military would not use armed force against citizens if order to do so; others say they would, going as far as saying that "the military will fight for whoever pays them to."

I thought why not just ask our FReepers who are currently on active duty what they think.

So, active duty military FReepers, here are the questions:

1. Would you obey an order from the current president to disarm U.S. citizens and force them into internment camps?

2. Do you believe that those in your chain of command would carry out such an order?

3. What do you believe is the percentage of personnel in your command that would refuse the order?

4. What do you believe is the percentage of personnel in the entire U.S. miltary that would refuse the order?

Have there been questionnaires to members of the armed forces asking if they would take similar military action against fellow citizens?

You know there is a history of this happening in the world before? That would be Adolf Hitler and the German National Socialists Workers Party, oe Nazis. Every officer was required to take an oath to Adolf Hitler, not the German state as in the past. It went like this:

"I swear by almighty God this sacred oath:
I will render unconditional obedience to the Fuehrer of the German Reich and people, Adolf Hitler, Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, and, as a brave soldier, I will be ready at any time to stake my life for this oath."

Now, having said this, there is no way in hell any American officer or NCO is going to take a Nazi oath to Obama. Because of the Hitler Oath, as it was called, any such change to the oath of office to a PERSON, rather than the US Constitution, would be the gravest dishonor any American could commit. It would not happen.

The trick would come in if there had been a constitutional convention, and there was a “new constitution” for the military to swear to uphold. That’s the plot of my 3rd novel. Half of the military, and half of the country, decides that the so-called new constitution is bogus. This splits the military and the nation.

Imagine if all of the Predator drones armed with Hellfire and Viper missiles are cruising the countryside searching out “curfew violators,” “zone jumpers,” and of course, “armed insurgents.”

It’s not so easy playing Robin Hood in the forest anymore. You can’t see or hear the UAVs. They just zap you from 15,000 feet up. This is very bad for guerrilla morale, and inhibits volantarism.

Don’t discount the govts. ability to enforce tyrannical measures, if push comes to shove, after the declaration of martial law and various “emergency powers acts.”

I’m not saying they would succeed by any means. But I’m saying they would not be a pushover, if they pulled out all of the stops to “combat domestic terrorists.”

Count on similar lies being told in the future about “domestic terrorists” etc. to gain military support for oppressive measurs.

The briefing will not go, “Men, today we’re going to go out and confiscate legal firearms from patriotic Americans.”

That video fully and completely contradicts the op’s answers.

The message in that video is that if you are approached by police in the manners described, shoot to kill and then be killed as a patriot.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” — Thomas Jefferson

The cops/soldiers you take out, like you, are mere casualties of war.

I agree 100%. That's one of the reasons we shall see a push for a constitutional convention. The military will be assured they are merely "supporting and defending the NEW constitution."

Agreed. And they start with incramentalism, ban assalt riles, tax ammo, register guns, ban gun shows, etc. and on and on.

The feds just can't say, "Everyone must turn in there guns by Tuesday or we start kicking in doors." You know what the reaction to that would be.

They're not going to come for your guns, guys. Too much work.

This is why you can't buy ANY semi automatic weapons

You're just talking supply and demand. Those will be available again when the suppliers catch up with inventory demand.

Notice you can't buy any FULLY automatic weapons? (Relics hardly count.) they will follow that path: squeeze suppliers until it is legally and economically infeasable to buy any weapon.

As a career NCO (retired) in EOD teams all I can say is I took and oath to defend against all enemies both foreign and ..........domestic. I consider the current crop of socialists in power to be just those domestic enemies I swore to defend America from.

The active duty men and women who support such sedition fall into that same catagory for aiding such criminal unconstitutional activity IMO as we have witnessed in the past months.

In the long run, we might be better off if they ‘overreach’ before we’ve been totally turned into sheep.

That's why it is absolutely key to have a NEW constitution the military and police can swear to defend.

Jumping in without reading every post, so can you tell me if this has a source somewhere, or is it rumor?

Yes, indeed, the same jack booted thugs who brought us such classics as Ruby Ridge and Waco.
