PLease pray for my daughter, Katie, who had a stroke and was rushed by helicopter to Cleveland for surgery. She is in her forties and has two children, one still in grade school. Since we live in different states, the information has been sketchy, but we do know that the stroke was a bad one.
Let Katie know she’s still got prayers from me too! Glad to hear the good news!
Thanks for the ping Jonny with the great news about Kate.
I can certainly confirm that prayer works I am certain dad would not have survived let alone come home without it.
Prayers continue for complete recovery.
s_j, thanks for the ping.
PraiseGod! It’s wonderful that she is now home with family.
Wonderful news, kitkat. It hurts worse when one of our kids is sick than it does when WE are, doesn’t it? Love, M
Wonderfu news. God is good.
Good news. Prayers continue.
I was thinking about you and Katie today. Continued prayers on the way. I hope she's recovering well at home.
You HAVE to stop reading my mind, Jonny. I swear that three minutes ago, I wished you would write. Katie is doing well, thank God. But I haven’t had the heart to make an announcement about my beloved son, Paul, who passed away on March 26th, unexpectedly and suddenly in his sleep.
He had MANY physical ailments, but he never stopped trying to overcome them. Here’s a brief statement that I asked our Pastor to read at Paul’s funeral:
“Paul suffered for 15 years, ten of which were for cancer treatments.
He had a great love for animals, and a great love for people, especially for sick children. He visited the children at Roswell Cancer Hospital and took toys for them.
When thinking of Paul, one thinks of his gift for humor, and the smiles he brought to those around him.
He loved life and fought very hard to live, but died peacefully in his sleep. We thank God for his delivery from pain.”
The Pastor found much more to say about Paul. It was beautiful. My son-in-law, his friend, said the eulogy. At one point he broke down.
Jonny, he was my buddy, my son.
I am bereft. But I don’t wish him back here to suffer more.
Prayers, please, for Paul’s soul, although I know he’s with the angles now.
Now, I’ve been as pathetic as I will allow myself to be. Thank you for reading and God bless you all.
I can't imagine what you've been going through. I am so deeply sorry.
If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. Tears.
Praying for the Lord to comfort you, in Jesus' Name.
(((My friend))) I love you.
Prayers for you and your family, kitkat....May God give you strength through these difficult times.
Thanks for the good news — will keep praying that everything goes smoothly and she can quit answering questions she doesn’t like. That part brought a smile.
God be with all of you!
God bless and prayers on the way...
Prayers are being said.
I pray God gives you the strength to endure all you've been asked to endure these many months. Please know there are many praying for you and your entire family.
God bless!
Oh kitkat, I’m so very sorry to hear the news of Paul’s passing. I believe like you do, that Paul is resting in the arms of our Lord. I hope you can take great comfort in that belief.
Please know I’ll be saying prayers for you and your family.
I have been continuing to pray for your Katie and her recovery.
