I came into work today and could not believe the new Obama phenomenon. A girl has a bottle of "Obama Water" sitting on her desk. I am the only conservative in my office. I quietly walked over and told her when they make the toilet paper. let me know.

We all get along very well in this office, even with our political differences, so she laughed it off. There is only 8 of us and we all pull together. All of us have what I consider to be conservative values except for out Director. He is a flaming liberal. Our office voted 7 for Obama, 1 for McCain.

Almost every store I go into down here (as I'm sure the rest of the country) has a little Obama section. I understand grouping some books together, but this is beyond belief... I won't complain too much about the latter, it is a free market and if they see people will buy it, godspeed...

Last weekend we (My Wife, Myself and our two lovely young spuds) out book shopping at Borders Bookstore in Minneapolis. My Wife, a Born Again HArdRight Conservative was browsing the displays out in the middle of the store...She came across a table that was literally flooded with Obama books...AND to show they are balanced...one group of Anne Colt er books. So the Wife picks up the Obama Books...reads the back...looks at me and shudders...then places it back on the table...upside down...with the back of the book exposed.

No big deal right? She walks off...within 20 seconds...one of the helpers comes by and reorders the books...turning obamas shining face back to the light. We look at each other and smile. So I go over and turn over the Anne C. book. I walk away...and nothing happens.

So my ornery wife goes back to the display...and again turns over the obama book and leaves...sure enough, Helpers come out of the woodwork to fix the issue (two of them this time)...again..they didn't fix Anne.

So now...we are quite amused by this activity. We go over and turn over three of the multitude of obama books...then we slide off to watch the show...

Back come to the two helpers...and now the Manager lady is invovled...as soon as they touch the books, we break into laughter...Which pissed Manager lady off to no end...She waddles over to us and tells us if we could kindly leave...since we were obviously there to cause problems...And if we could respect the sanctity of a bookstore..we were not allowed to return.

We howled laughing at this point...to the point where one of our kids was asking repetitively...”WHAT”S SO FUNNY”

I asked he why they were so upset about turning over Obama’s book...but not Anne C's book. She replies (With a straight Face mind you) and says “Obama’s not a Fascist Hatemonger. He deserves the respect of the people...”

So now We've been banned from borders...I'm not sure if it's all borders...or just this one.

Our Barack Obama Bottled Spring Water is bottled at the source which is a mountain glacial spring in Pennsylvania.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I wasn't aware of any glaciers in Pennsylvania.

I loved your story! I use to take Hillary’s & Bill’s books & place them in Fiction. I believe most of the large bookstores are leftist. I buy my books from Amazon or conservative websites. Amazon is less expensive than any bookstore out there.
