Does the mess-I-aih ever enter the presidential office to work? When ever I walk by the tv I see him teleprompting to one group or another and today he’s going to telepromt to some of the families who lost loved ones in the terror attacks? Come on...what’s he trying to do? And he wants to close Gitmo within a year of his ascedency and probably let some of the terror perpetrators free?
Thanks again for your work in directing us to the best columns. I’ve only read The Fierce Urgency of Pork so far but Krauthammer is strong. Let’s hope, as Mark Finkelstein says, that this article is the turning point.
No, testing ended on Dec. 23. Just finished test report.
Oh, I didn’t know your trip was long. One of our condo units is for sale because the husband and wife work in Chicago which is 95 miles away. They’re finally tired of the daily trip. Their kids and grandkids are here so it was a hard decision to make.
Are you having a mortgage-burning party when it’s paid off? : ) That will be a big day.
That's a good idea to have a mortgage burning party. I might have to plan on that!
Hahahaha, oh yeah, you’ll be having a heat wave!!! I remember growing up in KS and once it hit the high 50-60s the shorts came out! We’d all be so sick of winter by Feb. we were dying for summer temps.
Good morning (still, but barely) to everybody. C-mom, that’s great news about your daughter’s medical report, I’m so glad to read that.
My mil went home from the hospital yesterday, so we’re glad for that although she has new heart medications and diuretics along with oxygen to use at night at least for now.
I feel so badly for the families of those killed on the Cole. Damn the voters who put this atrocity in office and let those family members (and ultimately all of us) down.
Please excuse the language, however I mean every word of it.
They delivered it this morning. Took some doing, what with the ice & all but they called in reinforcements and got the job done.:)
It looks BEAUTIFUL in my studio, and my old one looks right at home in the living room.:)
Enjoy Mozie!
Sweet!
I'm putting in my flight request to head out there and be part of that celebration. We have had a small part to play in the history of this particular translation.
You have helped change lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Say, I hope you all are going to write a book on your experiences, a christian book we all would love to read.

MozartLover, enjoy your new piano! I bought a Yamaha Vertical Grand almost 20 years ago, and I love it...so do the people who hear it, my piano tuner, etc. He rarely has to do anything to it...only last time he had to replace one little item which had worn out...Now your's will get more wear, I know. And the sound! My friends love to practice here, because of it, and the "brightness" of the sound in my uncarpeted l.r.
Mine also has that glossy finish in a dark brown. Now you will read the directions for care, but let me tell you my experience: I always wipe it with a slightly damp soft cloth, so the surface still looks excellent.
A few years after I got mine, the church bought a similar one for the choir room. The surface quickly became dull, scratched slightly all over. I suspect a dry cloth was used to dust it.
Bit, I've been reading the Scruton. It's very rich with thought, references, and so forth...I've been listening to Dennis Prager's CDs on the Torah, and in certain ways, this essay complements Prager's comments on the Torah and its contributions to our great W. culture.
Good news on your MIL, prairie. Yes, my heart goes out to those families...first the attack by barbarians, then....no justice.
Ohhhhh, I’m so happy for you. I bet it’s just gorgeous!
From what I got from Scruton’s article, he was making the case why Western culture was ‘better’ - because of forgiveness, tolerance, irony, etc. It was like he was saying ‘ours is better’, when, in the eyes of certain strains of Islam, the very fact that we exist as we do is cause to either make us submit to their culture or try to undermine ours. Ours is better in many ways, I agree, but we need to understand that allowing their presence on our turf will demand that we defend it, definitely intellectually, legally and probably physically, at some point...;-))
(Call for action from JimRob)
No, I checked the Sunday paper and didn’t see you name okimhere.
