AMERICA-The Right Way: Staying Vigilant!(Feb. 2- Feb 6, 2009)
Various news sources and FReepers | 2/1/09 | All of Us

Good evening everyone.

Statism continues to run amok in Washington.

The O administration is set to soon unveil a Big Bank Bank Bailout...more debt onto debt for as far as we can see.

But a ray of hope: there are hints that some Dems as well as the Rs in the Senate have qualms about the Depression & Huge Deficit Act of 2009 which passed the House last week.

So we shall see.

Meanwhile we can have a lottery: how many Executive Orders will the new president sign THIS week??

Yes, I’m listening to Mark. Since I’m hard of hearing it’s tough for me to understand him even with my hearing aids. I’m listening carefully, though.

Here briefly...

Glad Daschle has withdrawn!

2/3rds, I can't understand Hewitt's nonchalance on the Geithner and Daschle tax evasions. He said last night the Rs need to concentrate on opposing the Stimulus bill..What? They can't walk and chew gum at the same time??

As far as I'm concerned, by failing to oppose such abuse, the Rs become complicit in that behavior. THAT should be the Dems province only...they're very comfortable there. The Rs should NOT be.

jtill, so sorry to be slow in getting back to you...I also withdrew from the PPT after 8 years of participation.

I can pray for wisdom & discernment in our leaders - including O and his gang, - but that's about it.

Daschle's replacement

Not great...from the source:

Guinier was described as 'anti-Constitutional' and 'a quota queen' by various media outlets, citing her views on proportional representation in local elections.[3] In addition, Democratic Senators such as David Pryor of Arkansas and Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts informed President Clinton that her interviews with Senators were going poorly and urged him to withdraw the nomination.[4]

That's the kind of thing that disgusts me to no end about the republicans Molly. Walk and chew gum, indeed.

My pardons, that may not be credible info about Daschle’s replacement.

That's all right, prairie...we may well prepare ourselves for a worse - in some ways - choice.

How's your MIL?

music for the rest of the day...

I tried to listen to Steyn...but he was talking so fast, funny, but fast, and I need calming down, so...it wasn't a good "fit" for me today.

Here is an article that I think you will like:

Authors of Their Own Doom - American Spectator

Written by a veteran news guy, it's an article about the fall and current state of demise of the newspaper industry, a sad, sad story (teee hee)...;-))

Molly, Hewitt has been lukewarm since the election. It doesn't surprise me that he was nonchalant about the tax cheats. Before the election, he would have guests on that were saying McCain had no chance. Very discouraging for us. After the election, Hewitt was toward the camp of Dennis Miller and Dennis Prager (He's my president and I will support him), not to mention Bennett, only Hewitt wasn't as far to the left as these other guys had gone.

The only national talk show hosts that are holding out that I can receive are Rush, Hannity, Mark Levin and Mike Gallagher. I am one thousand percent behind Rush when he says he wants Hussein's policies to fail. I was there before it came up on Rush's show. Hannity, Levin and Gallagher are all steadfast and I can listen to them for hours. As you probably know, I have not heard Bennet's voice since before the Imaculation. Now that he has opposed Rush (It's too early to judge him; let's see what he does), Bennett has probably lost me as a listener for good. We know what he is going to do. Look at what he has already done.

“...it’s tough for me to understand him...”

I’m glad you two mentioned it because Steyn’s accent would get so tangled, I couldn’t figure out what he was saying, especially when he talked so fast. I have that same trouble with Bill Kristol........he speaks so fast there’s no space between the words. Like someone on speed but I think HE is afraid he won’t be given time to say everything he wants to :)

Well, I’ve been praying for truth, justice, honor and peace. If we only get honor, it should at least bring things into focus.

Didn’t think about discernment because I figure with the mess they have us in, they wouldn’t use it anyway.

aaaaacccck! ROTFLOL!! ..but it's not so funny, since it's true; re: your dear, dear Spector.

Poor Dad, last time I talked to him, he said he'd be ok unless the government bankrupts him. I feel so helpless to say anything of comfort.

The lib owners/editors could become successful again if they’d report news instead of force-feeding us with their opinions. I don’t think they are capable of that, do you? Their egos and loyalties are tied to politics.
