LOL - real men do Caturday!

Busy past week helping Wheelbarrow pack/move .. leaving this AM

sore from my 3 hours of working out in yard in rain yesterday.. but it was 55! Now in low teens with windchill in single digit

part of sore is my hands with hundreds of tiny cuts from evergreen needles.. should have worn gloves. My work was breaking up the branches from the tree my friend topped several months ago. It has been in a large unsightly pile in front yard. I took top green parts & rebuilt my privacy areas & hauled the bottom parts into the woods. Hard work but nice to be outside & breathing the fresh, clean air.

Tulip Tree..Saucer Magnolia

Flower Break..
My neighbor's tree had it's best year ever about a week
ago. So beautiful.
Glad you had a bit of warmth..It's been in the 70s here...
back to the 60s today.
I loved that kitty picture because my SIL is treated like
this by their cats...It started when we rescued 5
abandoned kittens when I was staying with them.

Fever Pitch
You shall love your neighbor as yourself. —Matthew 22:39

In the movie Fever Pitch, Ben Wrightman is crazy about the Boston Red Sox baseball team. He rarely misses a game during the spring and summer months.

One winter, Ben falls in love with a young woman named Lindsey and wins her heart. Then spring rolls around, and she finds out that he’s a different person during baseball season. He has no time for her unless she goes to the games with him.

When Lindsey ends her relationship with Ben because of his fanaticism, he talks with a young friend, who says, “You love the Sox. But tell me, have they ever loved you back?” Those words cause Ben to analyze his priorities and to give more time to the woman he loves, who loves him back.

We pour our lives into hobbies, pleasures, activities, work—many good things. But two things should always be thought about when making our choices. Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart . . . . You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:37,39).

When it seems our life is getting out of balance, the question, “Has that hobby or activity or thing ever loved me back?” may help to keep us in check. Loving God and loving people are what really count.

Follow with reverent steps the great example
Of Him whose holy work was doing good:
So shall the wide earth seem our Father’s temple,
Each loving life a psalm of gratitude. —Whittier

We show our love for God when we share His love with others.

I know how you did it. Just thinking about 1) Tangee Lipstick, 2) Evening in Paris Perfume (in the blue bottle) and 3) Toni Home Permanents, was just too many olfactory memories for your brain to handle all at once.

Yes and maybe the odors of those three things from years ago may have given me brain damage! I remember I loved to smell Tangee lipstick. Can’t remember what Evening in Paris smelled like but I bet it was loud! I do remember the blue bottles. When I speak to my brother again, I am going to ask him if he bought or sold any of those old perfume bottles. During his years in the antique business, he came across almost everything.

Its raining and going back to bed sounds good to me. LOL!

I will never forget my first Toni Home Permanent. I guess my mom left it in too long, (and used the tiniest rollers), and my hair was so kinky tight, I couldn’t even get the big side of a comb through it for weeks! I was so ashamed and embarassed. I will always remember that horrible smell and the results!

I remember my mother telling me
I was too young for lipstick
and too old to play with dolls.
I was truly confused. Child abuse! LOL!

I remember this perfume but nothing outstanding
about it except it was a pretty bottle.

I experienced getting these permanents.
They smelled strong.

I think most of us can remember the mistakes made with those permanents.

Yorkie, I guess you can break out the “Thanks for the Memories” now.....LOL! If I don’t get busy I may get fired..teehee! It doesn’t pay well anyway!

Tangee was the first ‘lipstick’ (more of a lip gloss) that I was allowed to wear. It was my first fragrance that started my steps into womanhood. I will never forget how wonderful it smelled.
