Thank you, jaycee..The wildflower displays are from Gorman, Ca.
I don't know about FR because I am so slow..I guess those
high winds brought more allergy misery for me I sometimes have
to grab a Kleenex between letters!
Have a blessed Lord's Day

Morning, Ditter! I have found the thistle seed at Ace Hardware and Wal-Mart. It would probably cost to much to order by mail. Good luck!

JC, my feeder is similar to this one. It holds four socks. It is a pole - and therefor squirrel proof. I had it set in concrete, so it is quite stable. You can find feeder poles at bird stores, or order one online. I sure recommend it!

Meg, those pictures are what we call “God’s Paintings”. He sure provides us with so many things that makes us feel good. Its like when I sit outside in early spring and see those tiny leaves trying to peep through on my big Poplar trees, I always think what a miracle it is.

What happens to me at the computer lately, I have these terrible sneezing spells (I am not allergic to my computer but I may be allergic to the dust that collects constantly around the computer table and cabinet. LOL!

Didn’t think of that...lol!
One thing about it he can’t use it to signal to Republicans on that hand. I expect before he gets through the Obama administration, he will wear the other one out.

What I couldn’t understand is why that picture was on the Ballet page. :)

JC, I have so many wires behind my computer, plus the router, power box, high speed connection, speaker woofer, printer connections, I am sure it is a "dust bunny heaven"! ROF!!

That was a pretty large shepherd’s hook I bought at Lowe’s but those little boogers climbed right up! Chewed off the perches the little goldfinches used.

Those pan-like things on your pole, what do you put there?

It is, yorkie, because when B. was working on my computer, we had to get back in there some and you should have seen it. I got the little vacuum and got as much as I could. Too many cords and wires that you can hardly clean.

I don’t have those little dishes on my pole. Just the socks that hang from the ‘branches’. I have another pole, with four ‘branches’ that I hang feeders from - and use different seeds in each one. I also have a box attached to that pole that I pour seed in, as the birds like to walk on their food. I have never seen a squirrel get up those poles. I will try to find a picture for you.

Love Is Like A Garden

Love is like a garden
You must nurture it with care
To reap the lovely harvest
That awaits you there.

You must watch o’er it daily
To keep it at it’s best,
For weeds are sure to enter
And make themselves a pest.

For if you let them enter ---
They’ll destroy what has begun
So weed your garden carefully ---
And give it lots of sun.

Together, plant your seeds of love,
And watch your garden grow,
Always keep in mind ---
You reap just what you sow.

The process is a lasting one ---
That takes a lot of care
Sometimes it may grow tedious
So always be aware.

When you finally reap the harvest,
And love appears full-grown
You’ll know you’ve been successful
And can claim it as your own.

JC, I found a picture of my feeder with four 'branches'. As you can see - it is full of different types of seeds. I had to put the rocks at the base of it because the javelina (wild pigs) would hit the pole to shake down seeds. LOL! This "Diner" attracts many different kinds of birds, and is busy all day. Reservations recommended.
