I showed Mr G this picture the first time I saw it. He couldn’t believe it was real, and called the station. They looked at it and cracked up... they hadn’t noticed the misspellings. As I recall, this protest was by teachers.

The Jerky Boys were an underground cult deal in NYC before they were picked up by a label. The early routines made the rounds on casette tape. The Mechanic and the Car Salesman were favorites.

Oh I remember them. I lived in Manhattan from ‘76 to ‘85, and I’m pretty sure I heard them at some point before I moved upstate, where I was until 1990.
