Move over, Fluffy and Fido. There's a new batch of pet names in town: "people" names! Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI), the nation's largest and oldest provider of pet health insurance, scoured its database of more than 466,000 insured pets to find the most popular dog and cat names of 2008. (Animals not insured by VPI were not included in the survey.)
But for those who like to think outside the (litter) box, VPI also came up with a list of unusual pet names, like Meatwad and Miss Fuzzbutt. The company's employees selected 50 unusual dog names and 50 unusual cat names, and then voted for the top 10 in each category. See which names were up to snuff.

We have a new kitty. We named her Prissy (for obvious reasons) but I call her P&ssy (for obvious reasons) LOL.
She’s at the vets today to be fixed. Hopefully she won’t hold it against me.

Actually we had a Russian Blue once which we named Chewie because our dog licked and slobbered all over him so much when he was a kitten.

OK - I’ve read through your exchange (I know it was from last night, but I only saw this thread this afternoon) and I’ve got to say I love you both!!!!
The most we’ve had at one time was 11, we are currently at 7 cats and 1 dog. The dog lives in the house and the cats just want in the house.
The cats are Gateway, Flip-flop, Tyler, Static, Tiger (a calico), Grey Ghost, and Scookie. The dog is Cinderella, who is generally called Cinder and referred to as just plain Sin.
We’ve also had dogs Sambuca and Anisette. Yelling “Stop that, Sam, you stupid black b!tch” did not go over real well in the neighborhood we used to live in.........

Thanks. I forgot to mention my cats names; Buzz, Joe, Sasha, and Connor. The gf and I pretty much know most of the shelter animal names as well.
Buzz is the alpha cat and monitors the litter boxes. He usually attacks Joe for using the boxes.

LOL!!!!
Gateway is our Alpha cat and she is a majorly moody witch. Definitely anti-social, except when she decides to let us know she is earning her keep my depositing some dead critter on the front steps! Then she is all lovey dovey to any human she encounters.
Except for her offspring (Flip-flop and Tyler), all of ours, including her, were strays/rescues/adoptees of one shape or form.

Thank you! Actually, she is a baby landseer Newfoundland. I think she was three months old in those photos.
We also have Penny, our Lab, and the cats, Blue, Sara, Oscar, Dot and Sugar.
