Good evening, and welcome to the new week's thread.
P-E Obama must find a replacement for Bill Richardson, Sec-Commerce designate, who withdrew his name Sunday.
Israel continues its incursions and attacks on Palestinian terrorists, AKA Hamas, in Gaza.
And many of us regroup after a busy season with Family and Friends in December.
Lysie, you nailed it smack on the head. After Kay died, it seemed that we took our grief out on each other. After Bloody Tuesday it seems that we not only have been grieving but that we’ve decided to war with each other.
Friends, this ought not to be. We are in a war, but not with our own side. The enemy is the socialist regime being foisted on us. We need to be here to strategize and to encourage each other. I know I need you all.

I was glad to see that UG posted on 12/15. I didn’t know that. I thought it was a lot longer when she last posted.

No, I haven’t. Remember last summer when I had a cough from a cold when I returned from Papua. Then I went to the doc. We spent thousands of dollars trying to get it under control. I had the cough until around the middle of August. All during the summer, very very slowly, I got better. Finally, in mid-August, I realized that I had become better enough that we were never going to find why I had the cough so the doc and I quit. Thousands of dollars and no diagnosis.
I’m not willing to do that again.
I knew you had the cough but didn’t know about the $$ part. I can’t blame you there!

I have not watched the news since before the election. I might accidentally land on that channel, but it quickly goes off. Sometimes I watch the local news at the very beginning to catch the weather. Unless something catastrophic happens, I doubt I watch it again for at least 4 years!

It HAS been much longer since she posted on ATRW. But it was Dec. 15 when she last posted on Free Republic.

Icy roads here. Granddaughter is sick, so her mom just called me to say she is staying home with her so I don’t need to do babysitting today. If she is still sick tomorrow, I will have her down here and she can convalesce with the dog, who is being spayed today.
Agree that we should stick together through this bad time. Part of my anger has been because of the nature of Republicans in Washington, who have failed to stick with the President. However, it does no good to take it out on people here, and only causes more division.
Have exercised, and now to face the rest of the day.
My headache finally left and 4:49 p.m. yesterday :-))

This little kerfluffle that NBC is doing about Ann Coulter has me laughing. It is as if they matter. NO ONE watches them. I have banned them from my life for many, many years. The alphabet news shows are not money makers anymore and are propped up by the networks as if they were relevant.
As far as I’m concerned, being banned by one of them is just a RESUME ENHANCEMENT. GO ANN!
I wish I saw more because I can't give his opinion. I can guess, though.

I’m glad your headache left. Mine hasn’t. I can either take meds and be a zombie from them OR I can have the headache and be a zombie from it.

You are so right. Wish they’d run 60s sitcoms during that time instead of their slant on the news. It’s not news, it hasn’t been for years, it’s just their opinion of the news.
