Good evening, and welcome to the new week's thread.
P-E Obama must find a replacement for Bill Richardson, Sec-Commerce designate, who withdrew his name Sunday.
Israel continues its incursions and attacks on Palestinian terrorists, AKA Hamas, in Gaza.
And many of us regroup after a busy season with Family and Friends in December.

LOL!
I almost did that.
NBC claims they didn’t want Coulter on because they didn’t want her bashing the messiah.
Huh?
They banned Bush bashers for the same reason. /NOT!

I just opened a bottle of Seven Seas salad dressing. It had a best use date of last month.
I wonder how our parents, grandparents and great grandparents survived without that warning???
And another thing. I'm an early morning person. I'm at my best doing chores in the a.m. Does that mean Greg should discard me after 9:00 pm? LOL

LOL!
If you ever wonder what food companies do with their product which goes further than the expiration dates, I can tell you. They ship ‘em to Papua and sell ‘em to ex-pats at the GREEN DOOR STORE!
And I was thankful to get it, too.

With all the preservatives in today’s products..other than fresh baked items and meats, I’m not too concerned about dates.

I am just wishful thinking trying to justify still having everything in place.Well, I still have everything in place, and I feel no need to justify it at all. It makes me happy to see it. When I get sick of it I'll take it down.:-)

We had multiple celebrations this year too. I love it! The big one was Christmas day, here; and then two smaller ones in Minnesota this past weekend.

Depends what it is and how far past the date. I bought a bottle of key lime juice once; it tasted terrible. I checked the date and discovered it was 6 months past the expiration date. I brought it back to the store and got my $$ back.
A few weeks or so is usually okay.

This was labeled as best if used by date, not expiration date.
What do they mean best if used by? Does it mean that if I use it ..it will taste only half as good...or will I die? LOL

I’m still not going to watch. Even Ann isn’t a large enough draw. Rush isn’t either. I’d have to sift through so much garbage to get to the good stuff... They’re available enough elsewhere.
Several years ago (like, 20, ya’ know) we had some septic tank trouble. My landlord was busy working on it when a $10 bill worked out of his pocket and fell it. He sighed and opened his wallet. He took a $100 bill out and threw that in too.
His wife asked him if he was nuts!
Dal said, “No, but you don’t think I’m going to get into that muck for just $10, do you?”

What a late start an getting today at last. Had to go to town with D to take the kids to pre-school, go and get some shots and naturally, HAD to go to WalMart to get me some vittles and snack stuff and almost left out COFFEE, I would have been in a big withdrawal in the morning, maybe enough for one pot but doubtful. No, will not drink D's coffee, some of that fancy stuff which is a waste of money and is terrible.
Just wanted to check in, say Hi so, ‘HI’ and bye.

Kinda like when Out Houses were the thing, my daddy had a service, outhouse in back. Lady went back to use it and the neighboor boys had put a speaker under the seat and as she ‘did her business’ one of the boys said ‘lady, could you wait a little? we are painting done here’
