Are you hooked on "24" too?!?!? I have rented and watched all the back seasons and have loved every one of them. It's been way too long since the end of the last season, which was over a year ago, I think.
I don't want to spoil anything, but I heard that someone who we thought was off the show forever is actually coming back. But, I won't say who. ;-)

I read... a lot. I read a lot too. That's why sometimes I disappear from FR for awhile. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally I will get involved in a book to the exclusion of everything else.
I am a little embarrassed to tell you that I am currently reading the fourth book of the Twilight series because, on a thread here on FR awhile back which was exploring the "darker" side of these books, I was told "not to be fooled, the Twilight books are from the pit of hell". Yikes! So what does that say about me??? LOL. Sure, they are 'way out there fantasy' and certainly not Michener, but I've been enjoying them for some light reading. Mainly I want to find out what all the young people were obsessing about. Now I know. ;-)

I am terrible about keeping up with when a favorite show comes on..I depend on the thread ping to alert me..LOL..I got hooked, too. This year I am going to set it to record just in case..

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.
Much of your pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears.
Khalil Gibran

I love my Uggs. I really don't like wearing shoes, but Uggs in the winter aren't like shoes. It's like walking through lambs wool, and toasty warm. They say that Uggs keep your feet at their normal body temperature in the cold or in the heat. I would never wear them in summer, of course. Summer is for bare feet or sandals, at the most.
Fortunately, at the store where I got my Uggs, they didn't have those wedge ones you posted. I checked at the Zappos website - they are $300! Yikes, my Ultras weren't THAT much. But, those Elsey boots are REALLY cute!
The style I get are like the very first ones they made years and years ago, back when that is all they made. They last for years, so they are well worth the price.

They should just go out for a good walk. I love the exercise yard at Abbotsford.

I can put off some of the tax stuff. I haven’t received everything yet.
I hate the tax paperwork. Seems there is always something that I have misplaced.
