Yes, you're right about the sons. We never know what will happen when they grow up. I am a proud Mama because they both are happy in their jobs and with life in general. We are so lucky when we get them through all those teen-age years that are so hard sometimes.
I thank the Lord everyday for the fine men they have turned out to be. We did spank our kids when they were little and were bad. We punished them as the Bible tell us to do! We never hurt them....they always loved us a little while after the spankings. Well, we called them whippings back then but whippings sounds worse than spankings. And know what, Polly, I got a few whippings too when I was growing up. When I did something I wasn't supposed to or talked back to my parents......I got it. I loved the ground my parents walked on and took care of them when they were old.

That is So Beautiful, Meg! Yorkie, the Bird you Posted Earlier on the Thread is So Pretty.
Billie and Lady Jag, I was Lol-ing at the Cartoons you Both Posted!
My Mother-in-Law's Throat was X-Rayed Today, and she still has a Small Hole in there where they did the Emergency Surgery Last Week, so she was Told that she Must Remain in the Hospital for Another Week. :( I'm Thankful she has a Nice, Big Private Room for this Long Stay, and my Sister-in-Law and Father-in-Law Stay with her Every Night, to Comfort her. May our Lord Grant a Speedy Healing to her, through His Loving Grace.
(((((Thank you for your Prayers)))))

Finally getting back to you, Polly. It was time to fix dinner for Marissa. She had finished her homework.
I had both knees replaced ... the first November, 2005 and the second March, 2007. I did great; it was wonderful to not be in so much pain. AFter the first, I was very faithful with exercising. I did pretty good after the second but I got lax on excercising. I started spending more time on FR. Since I re-started Amy’s Place, I spend waaay to much time sitting at the computer. I have put on some weight. I think it is a combination of both but I am not getting around as well as I did for awhile.
I need to get back in to see the surgeon for a followup .... I put that off also. :(
I’m good at giving directions but am awful about following them. I know Marissa would like it if I could walk like a teenager.

Has Meg been here yet? I hope she is okay.
Since my nap was a very short one, I will probably go to bed as soon as Marissa goes ... another hour. Then ..... ZZZZZZZ

You know I had that picture and I’ll be darned if I can find it. It’s a clever trailer he’s rigged up for granny. Looks like a stripped down Radio Flyer with a carseat mounted on top, armrests are his own. Plus he carries a big colorful umbrella in case Ma’s bee in the sun too long.
