FReeper LS on FOX this morning
Posted on 12/31/2008 6:08:10 AM PST by nuconvert
FReeper and historian LS was on FOX this morning correcting the liberal bias & misinformation in school textbooks.
Is that a regular segment on there? I hadn't seen it before, but bringing attention to lies and misinformation in school textbooks is a great idea. Let us know when you'll be on again.

For now, it's a regular segment, but I'm not sure it occurs on a specific day of the week. LS will probably respond with more detail...

Yes, it has become a regular feature. I was on three out of four weeks in December, plus the last week in November. Looks like I’ll be on next week too.

If you have specific examples---and it can't be "slant" but real factual errors or phrases we can refer to, please send them to me via freepmail.
I'm wondering what the elementary school books are saying, for example, about "global warming".

From MSNBC Hardball with Chris Matthews (transcript)
March. 21, 2006:
KRISTINN, FREEREPUBLIC.COM: We have kids that wear Che Guevara shirts here in the United States.
MATTHEWS: Yes, but they're kind of cute at this point, aren't they? They're not about somebody out to get us now. I think there's a difference. I mean, that's kind of camp almost, isn't it?...is Che Guevara the symbol of hate in the United States anymore?
KRISTINN: Yes.
MATTHEWS: I don't think so. I mean, a lot of our kids wear them. I see kids wearing them all the time, even my kids wear them. It's like a Robert Marley T-shirt at this point.

Well, the problem with a "heads up" is that it's the NEWS business, and you end up getting the time slot moved, or even canceled. Last week, I sat in the chair for 20 min. while they covered the Maryland culvert break that stranded all those drivers, and before we knew it, the show was over and I never got on.
So I don't want people upset with me ("I got up at x time and you weren't on"). My appearance on "Hannity's America," which will replay this Sunday at 9:00 (I'm in the last 15 minutes) was bumped four straight weeks during the election while they did Obama and Palin. I never thought it would air.

Darn. I slept in late and missed your segment. Congrats and hopefully I'll be able to catch one of your future appearances.
