The New Year week is here. Wishing you all the best.
A quick Monday morning start for the week.
I have it bookmarked already - it’s fun just to put in different cities to see what fares are and where they go ...
Let me know if that is what you want.
OK - I’m on several and sometimes I miss things ....
Yes, it is fun to do that. It’s also fun to go to the ‘Train status’ section and see how well the trains are staying on schedule.
Forgot to do that before we left - train delayed 13 hours. But then if we’d stayed at home we would have missed the bus/ferry connection so we had to go regardless .....
Thank you Jemian. I’ll be able to use it..
Along with my vitamins I take a cinnamon extract tablet. It works.
We drink our coffee strong, I mix Community Coffee with 1/2 Creole coffee in a 2# Flogers coffee container. lol
Happy New Year to you and Mr Mozie. When you get to Madison, a Happy New Year’s hug to Ev from us.
Mister Gee takes a cinnamon tablet also. He is a diabetic and tries anything and everything he reads. I also like my coffee strong, but he like his medium. I worked for the Navy for many years where the coffee was like mud and it was a crime to wash the pot.
We’ve been talking about an Amtrak to Canada then take the Canadian train across Canada. It looks like a beautiful trip. When we do this, we’ll have to Amtrak to the CA desert to pick up my sister and b-i-l, then on to the coast to pick up another couple, then north to SF to pick up brother and s-i-l, then onto Everett/Seattle to pick up 4 more families, sisters w/ spouses, brother w/spouse, single brother. We’re a crowd all by ourselves. So far, we’ve just talked about it but have done nothing.
lysie,
Please put me on the ATRW list.
Thanks so very much.
This is a great thread.
Done! You are welcome.
WOW, that’s a lot of organizing ......
Yes, it is! ;-)
My sister lived right on Puget Sound in WA state. I saw an eagle and mentioned how stately they looked. She gave me a look, rolled her eyes and said something like, “Ok, tomorrow you can clean the back deck”. Seems the stately mamma built her nest right over Sis’s deck, and it did make a mess, fish and animal bones, skin, and what nots to boot.
Jem, I’ve been thinking of your illness. I think, dear heart, you should see a Dr. If you decide to fly with this stuff, you can be in for some bad hurt. Please, if you have this on the day you are supposed to depart, don’t. You may have some liquid inside your ears if you’re dizzy. Self medication is fine sometimes, but you’ve had a lot of symptoms that add up to more than a cold.
I know exactly what you’re taste is like then. I grew up in Alaska. My Dad made boiled coffee and I doubt he ever washed the pot either. Mom was a tea drinker. When I joined the AF, our cook liked colored water.
If it happens, won’t it be fun? I’m an organizer and Roomey is a logistician.
Well, I like good coffee, but was just giving you an example of my first experience with coffee. After drinking that for a number of years, I can pretty much drink any strength coffee.
Jemian, I had that the week before Christmas. It’s the sickest I have been in years.
Take all available remedies...Zycam, orange juice, water, tea with honey and lemon. I also took Coricidin for coughs and congestion (safe for those with high BP) and slept about 12 hours a day for 3 days.
Get well!
