And now, on a lighter note, I see that Charles Barkley, a star basketball player while at AUBURN who went on to garner a few honors after leaving us, has been arrested in Arizona for DUI. Since he has left the republicans and is now planning a run for Alabama’s governor (at an undisclosed date in the future) as a DEMOCRAT, this arrest can only be a RESUME ENHANCER for him.

Before he makes his bid for governor won’t he have to move back to the state? Maybe not.

Both of the boys are sick and are being taken to the doc as soon as D gets the appointment with the doc.

J, these ‘use to be’ foster children, now registered members of our family bring me joy and one each happy old man. Now, just hope they get a little girl which will give the the job of spoiling them as a full time job.

Children are a blessing and a priviledge and a joy and a prayer concern. I pray that there is nothing worse than just the flu bug going around.

I hope I didn’t give it to them!

Good Morning!

I saw that as well.

All that talent... although I wouldn't want him shooting free throws for my team.

Happy New Year!

Oh, sheesh! I just went half-way through my morning ablutions and I am wiped out. I will be great fun tonight. /sarcasm

This was kinda important because tonight’s outing is a gift from my dad who is today celebrating his 83rd birthday. I’m sick through hubby’s and Kurt’s bd, now my dad’s, next up my brother, then Lysie, then me. I’m hope I’m well before Jeff Davis’s birthday.

/pity party

Happy New Year to ALL -

Jem - I truly hope you are well enough to put on your dancing shoes tonight.

James - FrMail me if I can be of service, bringing you some food. I would, you know...

All - I wish all the best for you during the coming year, and most of all, I hope “O” turns out to take us all by total surprise and be a wonderful President. I won’t hold my breath, however <3 <—had to use that symbol, since the word police have banned it. Apparently they dislike hearts.

Ev and the other fellows stay on our prayer list as does their spouses. I know, but Ev is up there with the rest, each evening.

Good Morning Everyone.

I’ll have to look for the Mayan Chocolate. Chocoholic, ya know. But won’t buy it for 6 months...low carb after tomorrow.

Jerry Jones may pick him up. Jerry changes coaches like people change their underwear.

The Mexicans add cinnamon to their coffee too and it’s quite tasty, I add cinnamon to our coffee too, when I think of it. Cinnamon is good for lowering blood pressure.

I love cinnamon. It is wonderful.

Now, you can use the baker’s chocolate and sweeten it yourself with a non-sugar sweetener. Atkins doesn’t mean no chocolate. Just be sure about the chocolate you use.

Thank you for the welcome, tillacum

This is a very nice thread so I am glad I was *pinged* to it.

I am going to send a family friend to the thread as her husband is over in Iraq.

I will be checking in and out today as I have to get ready for a houseful of hungry boys for the football games. It’s a good thing I like football!

Morning Granny and everyone.

Granny, the wind has decided to stay in Virginia. I had to take down my welcome flag on the porch strip the furniture of it's cushions and place the lampshades on the floor behind the furniture for safe keeping.

I am still worried about the big plastic ornaments we hang with the icicle lights around the perimeter of the porch. I hope they don't get blown off their strings and bounce around the porch (especially the windows).

As I was walking to the car, it started snowing, but the sky was a beautiful blue in places!

Folgers make a cinnamon coffee. I use half that and half regular because full strength is too strong for me. Many studies have shown that cinnamon is supposed to be good for controlling blood sugar.
