What a beautiful picture.
Thanks. I pinged LB to it because they went into a church this past Sunday and noticed some of the missionaries which the church supports. This family was there and she noticed that they worked in our area. She asked if we knew them. This is that family.
To be truthful, we don’t know them very well. We tend to socialize with people who are closer to us in age, but we are co-workers with that family.
Cool!
Beautiful setting.........Was it in a Christmas card?
I didn’t know Ben and Jerrys sold!
I’ve been avoiding buying the Communists’ ice cream.
Who owns the business now?
No, it was on a Facebook site, one of our mutual friends had put some pics up and I borrowed it.
I can imagine the warm weather would help me feel better. Actually, not really. I still get colds over there, too.
Who owns them now? What is their business plan? Are they still kooky?

Regarding Post #193...LOL..no problem.
I was intrigued with whatever you were making!
Sounded delicious.
Hi there! Welcome! Just in time to usher in the New Year tomorrow night. Do you have any plans?
Thanks for the welcome to this thread!!
New Year’s Eve plans...Well, I will have a houseful of college boys for the next several days for football bowl games, etc. Their friends start arriving tomorrow, so it will be a great time!
Oh, wow! College boys. I have two college girls. Perhaps I should send them up to see you. My girls like football.
Did we just steal your coach?
Or, did you pay to have him go?
Are you an Auburn fan?
If so, then yes you did.
Your AD must have seen something he likes in him, but his record here wasn’t very good these past 2 years.
I guess we took one of your asst. coaches for our new head coach.
I have THREE college sons, and when the holidays are here, I usually inherit anywhere from 3 to 5 more! On BOWL games, last year I had a whole baseball team here!!!!
Regarding post #211, the newspapers reported that it was not a pleasant parting.
So, good luck!
Sometimes it works out for the best for everyone in the end.
Hello, and welcome to ATRW.
I remember the days when they all came home from school for the holidays.
When I’d be showering and getting ready for bed, they’d be getting ready to go out for the evening.
And i still remember watching them EAT with facination. They’d stop eating,,,, and I’d be dumb enough to think I’d filled them up.
But actually, they’d just stopped to rest their jaws.
Good Luck with the Entertaining. Hubby and I will be watching alone, as our youngin’s are out of the nest, and have bigger TV’s than we do.
So I will get by with a DOZEN boneless HyVee Chicken wings and a 6 pack of Bud Light.
There are better days ahead for you. Be strong.
I love that!!!!
Just got home via AMTRAK ... great trip!!!!

Many thanks for the welcome, Iowa Granny.
Yes, I am getting the crock-pots out for my homemade chili & probably a chicken/wild rice soup along with some sandwiches.
I also usually make Parmesan won ton crisps and cheesy garlic bread!!
That way it is a buffet all day for them!
With all the ice on the roads, I don’t mind them staying put for this holiday!
No kidding about the ice.
The strong winds didn’t move in here until after 4:00, and then the temps dropped quickly.
Ice could be a problem again.
That is too funny (about the guys). College guys are so polite to women my age, as if we have had no knowledge about college guys.
Yes, I am an Auburn fan. Moved to the town in 1962 when my dad came down from Carnegie-Mellon. I now live in the house where I grew up.
Which Ass Coach did you take? Offense? We had a dynamite defense this year but the just were worn out.
Our AD had already known Chizik when he coached defense here before. Basically, I think Chizik was well liked before, but, as you said, his recent history leaves a lot to be desired. I’m worn out with the football program. I will always cheer for AU, it is family, but coaches come and coaches go. I hope this one gets to live in his mansion he’s going to build before he gets fired, er,... bought out.
As I said earlier, I have two college girls. They’re interested in men, but are right now much more interested in establishing themselves. I don’t see many men in the area. The girls tend to shoot them down pretty quick.
I just glanced at your home page. That is really scary. LOL!
But actually, theyd just stopped to rest their jaws.
That would be JT in a heartbeat.
