The New Year week is here. Wishing you all the best.
A quick Monday morning start for the week.
For those who may not have ever been Callaway is a garden area with year-round attractions. In the spring, however, the azaleas are breath-taking. If you are ever within a three-hour drive of Pine Mountain, GA, a trip to Callaway is well-worth the effort.
Thank you for the recommendation. We have Lawnwood Gardens here in South Jersey. Christmas is lovely (when the weather isn’t too extream) The spring is when I love to go there. There is also the annual Philadelphia Flower Show.
Many years ago, when my grandparents lived in Bala Cynwyd, they took us to Longwood Gardens. Callaway is very much like that. Each garden seems to have it’s own atmosphere and I consider myself priviledged to have seen both.
I was coughing so much on Sunday I skipped Mass. Once I begin coughing I can’t stop. Nothing worse than having someone coughing down your neck for an hour.
...or drinks from the challis during communion when they are sick.
Thanks!
Thanks for the link. That place sounds really nice. Those trails sound really neat.
Or hearing them sneeze right before the sign of Peace.
I had that dry cough and coughing spasms last year,, it took about 4 months to totally shake it off.
I used the Zicam COUGH Spray. It was the best thing I’ve ever used for cough control.
I’m going back upthread to copy down the SILVER info. It sounds like something I need in my arsnel. I wonder if there is a shelf life to it, or if it’s just something I could keep on hand?
Good hunting to find the real problem. @:) HOB
I am ready to send hubby out for some. The cough leaves me really weak.
Well, Happy Birthday to your hubby. I didn’t think it inappropriate to mention someone else’s bd on 2/3rds, so I did.
When you come to Texas, we have room for you. We’d love for you to visit.

Happy Birthday Mr. Jemian, with many more to follow.
GOOD A.M. to one and all from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA, in the low 70’s today, sun shinning, rosters crowing, dogs barking and after lunch will pick up Mr. Kitty from the vets where he had his claws removed and ‘certain parts’ removed. I explained to him it was not MY idea to h ave this done but he just sulked.
I can't tell you all how much my wonderful Christmas meant this year, two little boys and one 13 (going on 18)year old grand daughter. God knows where and what kind of circumstances these boys would be in if D and SIL had not not taken them into our family. So many kids are going down the drain in the fosters care system and I can say for sure that BIG bundles of joy awaits some potential parents.
In closing, I want all to keep the inmates in the jails in your prayers. 20 plus years I put them in the jails and just looked for the next case to arrest someone on a crime. These young and old men and women are in a dead end street. They need the help.
To all at the end of this year I want each to know that you bring so much joy to me, my heart, my well being. Never in my life did I ever think that so many of you have become my very best friends if only meeting by a keyboard.

Ev just left; he was home for a week. We will see him one more time before he starts premobilization training. We are leaving for MN tomorrow morning and on Saturday we will stop in Madison on the way home, not really "on the way" home but not too far out of the way, and take him out for lunch. We may get to see him once or twice after that, since the first 6 weeks or so of training are in Wisconsin. Then there will be the big sendoff and the guys head for Fort Bliss TX and then to somewhere in VA and finally overseas.
He spoke at length about his upcoming deployment the other day and I have to say he has a very positive attitude about the whole thing.

I’m so proud of your Ev and he is my prayers.
God bless, Ev, always!
Please give him a big THANK YOU from me!
