The name of the bar is "Patrick's" named by the original owner who just sold it a couple of months ago.
lysie, it was not my video card after all. It was the monitor. I turned my suspicion from the video card to the monitor after noticing that cycling the monitor's power button resulted in the display coming back on and then failing off again. I sensed that the computer had nothing to do with it. Sure enough, when I swapped monitors with one of my other computers, the diagnosis was conclusive; bad monitor. It must have failed on my birthday for a reason. My birthday present to myself (1 day belated) will be a new monitor later today.

I mentioned you and my other Texas friends to Greg when a few days ago he said, "I want to go to Texas."
I was asleep a little after 8PM......I usually sleep six or seven hours and often take a nap in the afternoon.
I like my alone time early in the morning.
Does G want to go to TX for a visit or forever?

The show went well. The unanticipated rehearsing for the Christmas show we filled in for and then the holidays themselves meant we didn’t have the rehearsal time we’d counted on, so we weren’t as tight as normal, but that will come.
We played at a Winter Texan park. We got asked back for next year.
Daughter ordered me one of those coffee air pots for Christmas, it should be showing up here soon.
The temp hovered around 100 for about a day-and-a-half. I know I’m on the mend but it is leaving with a pretty ferocious cough. If I can stay relaxed I won’t cough, but ... hubby almost yanked me to the ER a couple of times last night. I’m sipping my diet coke now hoping that things in my throat will relax.
The downside is that my ribs ache from coughing and I’ve coughed myself into a headache. I’ve stopped the NyQuil so I can take some acetaminophen in headache meds.
Oy vay!
I didn’t say this yesterday because it was 2/3rds day, but it was also hubby’s bd, too. I was feeling so bad that he got only a bare recognition from me. My dad took everyone to the restaurant of hubby’s choice. (It certainly wasn’t Arby’s.) I stayed home and slupped about the house.
Visit ....after retirement..if he gets one..GRR! Gov. Paterson!
If they want you back, that means you all did a GREAT job.
