I took Pat to watch ice hockey with his Cub Scout den. I guess they set it up after I’d gone to bed last night, but it’s only a few minutes to the skating rink. It looked like the players were about 14 years old. Someone told the boys all about the game, and they watched about 45 minutes.

It was quite amusing, and maybe we’ll take some of the other kids on another Saturday, since it’s close and free!

The house is on a 127-acre botanical garden operated by the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation. And a large staff of gardeners and you can volunteers to help also if you want.

I like the scrub oaks that still grow after falling over. It is not uncommon for them to do this. There is only one tree in the foreground.

1939 ROAD TO SINGAPORE Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour was filmed at this site.

When I was carrying my son, we lived in a tiny apartment and could only get one channel on TV. WLS aired a lot of hockey games!

My son is a hockey addict today...

It is morning again indeed. Can’t believe I’ve been up 3-1/2 hours already, but then I had to send time reworking my travel kits in advance of packing (which I can’t do until the laundry is done).

My heart goes out to you.
Sometime soon, we’ll have summer again, and I’ll be a lot warmer.
Risht now, it’s only 41.

It's just bit cooler than that here.

After dealing with the travel kits I had to catch up with my e-mail, the legislature and some news items. Now it's the world, and update the church website.

Later today, perhaps, when the Undead Thread moves on to new digs and the thread closes out.

It’s never too late. Every now and then I still see one of our old threads pop up. One with almost 40k posts on it.

Trolls are stupid. So we stune their beebers before they turn into zombies and the dustbunnies try to eat them. If we scarmable fast enough, we can have 'em paved before we leave the orbit of Venus.

Have a cupcake and some Scotch...

I’m so glad to know there are some of us here with level heads. Perhaps I’ve been getting too much input. Or maybe it’s not enough.

"Can someone please summarize this thread for me?"

It's an answer to the question "Does posting in all capital letters waste bandwidth?"

As has been revealed through the good offices of this thread, the answer is of course, "No."

However, the asking of the question, especially after it was seized upon by the denizens of The Undead Thread, has caused enormous bandwidth utilization.

.

Any questions?

Beautiful! It’s not a good time of year to go to the Botanical Gardens here, except to the Orchid Conservatory. In March, we’ll see about taking the Girl Scouts to the zoo in Columbia, SC, which also has a big garden.

I had a good nap with Wednesday and feel nearly human now! DP broke a fingernail and had to go to the nail salon at Walmart to get it fixed so he can play the guitar tomorrow. A Korean family owns it; they go to our church.

Tom’s making tacos for supper.

I went outside for a bit, but there were too many neighbors who wanted me to tell them my life’s story, so I came back in and made up a batch of something edible. All I can tell you is that it’s beef with some cinnamon and something else in it....

I hate when my nails break!!
