Warren should stop trying to appeal to the left wing nuts, he should say Prop 8 in California passed with overwhelming African American 70% and Hispanic support.

At this point I don’t give a rip.

Rick Warren and Barack Obama are free agents. They can ope a massage parlor together for all I care.

God will sort it all out.

Neither. They are both idiots in their own right.

This whole thing smells. It reeks of triangulation of the Clinton years. Make conservatives think the dem is giving just a little, and then they’ll steal everything else from you.

Rick Warren has become quite the media whore this year. Nevertheless; I couldn’t care less who says what at Zero’s coronation, I won’t be freeping any polls this night.

The controversy over a pro-life guy helping out a pro-abortion guy? I say neither.

I will withhold judgment to see what pastor Warren does. If he offers a prayer for our nation and its leaders and is willing to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, whom he names as Lord, I will conclude that he is trying to follow the Scriptural mandates to treat leaders with respect and to faithfully represent Christ while engaging our culture. If pastor Warren is embarrassed to pray in the name of Christ, then I will trust in the Chief Shepherd to deal with the problem.

I think he has made a decent attempt to try to unify a country so sharply divided it is at risk of failing. He also has significant difficulty ahead in this current economic climate. Id have to say it was a positive move in the right direction although it puzzles me if you consider his totally liberal stance on destruction of life.

I don't trust Obama, so I can't entirely agree with you. But I'm gratified he selected Rick Warren.

The Saddleback Forum was an outstanding event--better than anything we saw from the MSM, and Warren has done a lot of good in the world.

So...OK Barky. You get a pass on this one.

The links lead to an Article, rather than an AOL poll.
If AOL has a Poll, on this...where is it?

I second that.

0 & team know the majority of McCain voters are looking for a sliver of "hope" 0 isn't part of a Commie takeover, racist hater of whites, Muslim sleeper terrorist, gay vampire, or the anti-christ.

An over-hyped controversy about a mega-moderate pastor comforts the McCain-voting sheeple.

What an ignorant thing to say.

I can't STAND Obama. His smile and his voice give me the creeps. However, unfortunately, he will be the next president of the United States whether or not you recognize him as such.

I am not comfortable with Rick Warren at all. He is enough of a socialist to do damage. For him “purpose” replaces God. There are no moral absolutes and the social universe has no absolute laws as the physical sciences do.

Rick Warren’s universe is taken in by New Age theology influenced by such people as Dr. Peter F. Drucker, Ken Blanchard, Dr. Robert H. Schuller, Tom Patterson and others.

Warren’s gospel makes Christ a servant of man rather than man a servant of Christ. It is a humanistic gospel full of half truths and manipulation using modern management techniques.

To be honest, I blame Rick Warren for reviving the Obama candidacy. When Obama was falling behind in the polls and Hillary was clearly ahead, Warren invited the Kenyan to speak at his church.

Warren’s intentions were never really clear on that one and then he had a so-called debate setup with McCain and Obama.

Something isn’t quite right with this picture, but I do know one thing. God doesn’t play games and if Warren is playing games, I feel sorry for him in the future.

Most of all, no matter who you are or who a person thinks they are, don’t play games with our Country.

Furthermore, until Obama shows his COLB, he is not seen as president by millions of people including me.

To be a consistently fair and open minded person I dont think you can feed into a herd mentality, imho. You do need a window into how the other side looks at the picture. I think the situation our country faces is so complex it requires bipartisan efforts. On this point both sides have failed miserably in getting the job done. I aknowledge his efforts to address this issue.
