"Some people have complained about the price, but I get complaints every year," he added.
The 500 Christmas trees he has to sell for about $10 per foot stand here in several inches of snow waiting for new owners. Despite bright sunshine it is bitterly cold, and Rusin is cheerful, not least because he still has this seasonal work after recently losing a full time job in a warehouse.

My old 6 foot Scotch pine fakey is up and shining for the 36th Christmas...
I bought it for $4...
We took it overseas with us too..
Good thing because the real ones in the BX were $100
The tree still looks good with all its decades old homemade, school made, Sunday school made treasures
:)

I paid $29.00 at home depot for my tree. It’s actually a lovely 8 ft spruce...very nice shape.

The last snow knocked down some pretty big branches from our white pines. Could just bring one of them in, but the kids wouldn’t go for it. “The shape’s all wrong.”
If I had the patience for it, we could have garlands galore and pine arches in every doorway - Christmas de luxe. But I don’t. More snow tomorrow, more branches down.
If you plant white pines, cut ‘em down by the time they’re 20 feet high or so.

When I do put up a Christmas tree, it’s an artificial one. It’s easier to manage.

Some are even putting statues of Oprah’s Choice in the nativity scenes and around the trees. Americans are like the boy in the Reagan story about the horse inside the manure! Hopelessly naive or even deceitful
