We here at Yahoo! Movies love trailers. Really love them. Maybe "we're obsessed with trailers" is the more accurate description. And we know our users love them, too, which is why we strive to deliver the most movie trailers with the highest quality on the web.

Seriously, I'm not sure how they rate them, but the Iron Man trailer that aired during the Superbowl was so popular that "The Onion" did a spoof, shown on the Blu-Ray stating that this trailer was going to be made into "a full-length feature film"
Yahoo even has the infamous "Trailer three" that shows the "kiss that never happened"

Maybe based on hits to the site?
My son and I watched the Iron Man trailer until my wife made us stop.

A good movie trailer doesn’t always mean a good movie.

Watch the Indy trailer to prove that point.

They got number 1 right, so everything after that is academic.

Wow, isn’t that the truth. We didn’t see it at the theater (glad we didn’t waste $18 on it.) Instead it came on our cable “on demand” movie selections (we wasted $3.50 on it, LOL), and the trailer looked good, so last weekend we finally watched it. It was a bomb if there ever was one!

I knew of tons of people that were SOOOO excited about the Indy movie, went the first weekend and regretted it badly. Nothing like getting out the paddles for a long dead franchise.
Now, every single person I knew who fought to see Dark Knight the first weekend is dying for the Video release.
My hubby let me go see it in IMAX on our wedding aniversary. After I hurried in to one of the few remaining seats, he even delivered Popcorn to me and took the kids to see Space Chimps. The man next to me asked how I got popcorn delivered and I quickly told him.
My hubby was applauded as he walked out. What a man!

Dennis Miller did a nice psycho-breakdown of the success of Iron Man and why it is a conservative story comapred to the Hulk, which is the liberal.
In summary; The Hulk is about a guy who can’t control, nor discipline himself. He is filled with self-loathing and, even though he has immense power he can never really reign it in to bring it to his own purpose. Banner has to isolate himself because he fears what he is and what he may become.
By contrast, Iron Man is about a guy who is driven, not necessarily always right, but always doing his best. Stark works his butt off and enjoys the benefits that his power brings. His success and independence are of his own doing.
Stark digs who he is and enjoys himself compared to Banner’s who hates his alter-ego.

A good movie trailer is an art in itself. You have to be an incredible editor and take a movie apart piece by piece until you have a product that will sell the story to the audience and get them to shell out the $9.00 and come back to see it. In most cases these days, when done well the trailer will be the only thing worth seeing as we all have experienced the disappointment of seeing an awesome trailer and when seeing the full movie we are completely let down and feel ripped off for shelling out a small fortune to sit through two hours of garbage.

Well, so far, the best trailer for a 2009 movie is Star Trek. That movie is going to draw a ton of non-traditional fans.

Are the rights out of litigation with Fox?
March may come and go if not.

Website still says March 6, 2009, and a new trailer was released a week or so ago. . . . looks like it’s still on. . .
