Good morning lovely lady.

Hit and run post this is. Got to go to work today...and tomorrow. Not really complaining about working Saturday, I'm glad I have a job.

I think Sunday, after Mass, we will go out the back yard and get a Christmas tree. Where is that chainsaw...?

Good Morning.
I had a great report from the Dr. My xrays were great, bones have grown (still using the bone growth stimulator for another 2 weeks) and everything is right where it should be.
You won’t believe what the 2 bumps were- embedded stitches that hadn’t come out. Not going into details this early in the morning, but the procedure was painless. They didn’t come out after he tried to get them to, so he’s just going to leave them, unless they pop out on their own.

I am off my crutches but still in my boot. I go back in 2 weeks and if I’m still doing good I graduate to a tennis shoe. Hallelujah.

That’s really good news kassie. Yep, sometimes suturing materials don’t behave as they should. It didn’t occur to me earlier, but it certainly can happen.

Till, haven’t seen you in a while, you doing OK after Thanksgiving?

Morning everybody. Pancakes down at the rec hall this morning and then I have work, laundry and rehearsals. Must run to the Guitar Center and buy some extra picks and strings as well.

Good morning everybody,

Still struggling with a migraine this morning. In fact it's worse; and it's one of those that has me feeling weak and shaky. Wish I could stay home all day but alas I cannot. Oh well. I'll survive.

It's 2...........count 'em, 2 degrees out there. Snow predicted tomorrow and again on Monday.

kassie, great news about your foot! You must be so relieved.

Off to scrounge up some breakfast.

MozartLover, condolences and prayers for your musical friend who lost his wife so suddenly.

Thanks Molly.

I saw him last night at the PAC.....I am playing for the pre-concert entertainment tonight for the concert he is directing. He was sort of pacing the stage and waiting for rehearsal to start; looking a little.................lost. My heart went out to him; this is not going to be easy for him.

Breakfast..............

It's tough. A lot of his family members are also involved in this concert (daughter, grandchildren). They are a very strong family, but this will be a test for them, that's for sure; and of course many members of the chorale and symphony knew his wife, some for many, many years.

It's just going to be so weird not to see her there....

"... sometimes suturing materials don't behave as they should..."

Yup, both Guennie and I can attest to that. Was here on ATRW or a separate thread entirely that a discussion was on a laser technique that some docs were trying? It seems this laser on wounds would "weld" the seperated tissue together. It replaces stitches (and super glue). Yet another Star Trek treatment making it into real life.

Good morning ALL!

kassie, that's good news. I wish I had thought of that since it happened to me. Sutures stayed in for a year after surgery, and then ruptured into a boil! Dr asked for a 4x4 and a scaple while I was laying on the table. I nearly jumped out of my skin! LOL!! The 4x4 was a gauze pad....

So glad you got a good report. This time of year is no time to have setbacks...
