This was posted this morning. San Pablo Bay lighthouse needs new keeper ...
Looks awesome.
$100K, health benefits and you need a commercial boat operator's license in SP Bay.

In my experience over these last few months, the “job sites” have, at best, introduced me to some recruiters. For the most part, however, they have not led to interviews. Aggressive networking seems to work best.

I had a friend who was senior in IT at Clear Channel, but he left last year. He did not recommend working there, btw.

What a great resource. Thanks!!
I’m happily employed right now, but one never knows what’s around the next bend in the road. :)

Now if we can find a way to fire any liberals in our employ and replace them with conservatives we would be getting somewhere ; )
Economic warfare, sorry Joe, you’ve been replaced by a Freeper.
I do everything humanly possible to de-fund the left and their supporters every day, I’m sneaky that way. I won’t let a democrat shovel my driveway.

No, I'm waiting for Obama to give me a pie, pay for my gas, pay my mortgage, pay my health insurance and replenish all the money my 401-K has lost.
After that, he can buy me the new Camaro I want. It had better be an SS, no V-6 for this Middle Class Taxpayer.
Jobs are for Chumps...
And yes Virginia, there is an Obama.

Damn, I'm qualified for the first two things, but the closest I am to that Commercial Boat Operator's License requirement is sailing to Catalina on my Brother In Laws 34’ Sail Boat.
Come to think of it, if Obama is qualified to be President, I should be overqualified to be a Lighthouse Keeper.

If you have any ideas about starting a small business in times like this, please put your thoughts down here where others can see them and maybe add to them. Maybe somebody might even put them to use.

Unfortunately I know nothing about starting or running any sort of business.
(Maybe ‘job fair’ was the wrong term)
I was just thinking of doing a thread where FReepers looking for work could post their skills and FReepers looking for employees could post openings, or something.
Needless to say, I never really fully formed my idea.

I’m looking for a second job to get a little more leisure money. Right now, I’m trying to get my boss to switch me to the morning shift, as most places are hiring for the evening.
