Rickles makes fun of Obama. Crowd did not like it. Libs can't laugh at anything.

not only do libs not have a sense of humor most are either too young or were stoned during rickles’ early years. i’ve watched some of the roasts and he is a riot, as long as you can laugh at yourself. all the old stars could.
there was one roast, i think for govenor reagan, and rich little got up, looked down the table and said “ all the people i impersonate are up here tonight.”

Well that just proves it.
Rickles is racist!

Truthfully, I didn’t find it funny either. But then I’ve never enjoyed Rickles’s sense of humor. I just applaud him for daring to make fun of St. Obama.

That Obama joke fell flat because it was stupid. Rickles acts like Obama was a former NBA player or something. Obama was a mere bench player (a 3-point specialist, apparently) for the Punahou High School basketball team. He did not even play basketball on any official team at Occidental College or Columbia University— just pickup games and intramural squads. His set up wasn’t bad— some WH crisis and how Obama would react— but the punchline was garbage.
Still, it is amazing that he looks as healthy as he does at 82.

That crowd is so uptight and politically correct. Shows how far we have fallen as a nation. Years ago the crowd would be rolling in laughter. Today everyone is so afraid of insulting this group or that group. Rickles is an equal opportunity offender and a national treasure.

The late night commedians have commented about ‘who will we talk about now’....they KNOW they won’t criticize Obama. But really, what are they going to do......keep kicking Bush for four more years?
What a mess.

I saw Rickles at the Copa in New York around 1970, and Joe Namath was in the audience. Namath made the mistake of wearing his white mink, and Rickles went after him rhtoughout the entire show. It was hysterical.
LaterI saw Sinatra on one of his last tours, maybe his last, and Rickles was the set up. Still hysterical.
Sinatra, of course, was brilliant. What a great show.

I didn't used to like Rickles either. But then I met a black guy who had seen him live, who owned recordings of Rickles, and who seemed to love Rickles' humor even though he told me that he had been on the receiving end of all sorts of racial epithets during his life.
Since then I have given Rickles another chance. Sometimes he can be a little dated or off-key, but overall he is an original genius.

This sounds like the time that Jackie Mason made fun of Quincy Jones on TV.
