Cystic Fibrosis Is Too White to Cure [Update @ post 45]
Stop the ACLU ^ | 26 Nov 08 | Van Helsing

Finding a cure for cystic fibrosis has been deemed politically incorrect, on the grounds that this awful disease tends to effect those who deserve to suffer — the source of all evil, male Caucasians:

OTTAWA - The Carleton University Students' Association has voted to drop a cystic fibrosis charity as the beneficiary of its annual Shinearama fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not "inclusive" enough.

Cystic fibrosis "has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men" said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.

Here I was thinking racism was a purely imaginary problem, like global warming. But among progressives, it is not only real but vicious.

I have a cousin who has a daughter with CF....

I've treated many CF patients....The good thing is the avg. life span of the CF pt. is increasing.....

Frankly I think it will be cured...or managed better as "stable disease" in the near future.

Well, they’re back-pedaling and making excuses pretty hard, now. I just heard an interview with some student council rep over the lunch hour. She was saying that this was just one “whereas” clause in the motion, and that most of the debate was over whether or not they wanted to rotate their charity support amongst several charities. Which doesn’t sound unreasonable. What is unreasonable is that more people didn’t catch and/or care enough about this clause to stand up and state their disagreement with it. Anyways, apparently they’re considering going back to supporting CF with their “Shinerama” (they go around town shining shoes for donations) proceeds - at least for this year - given all the negative publicity from this debacle.

I am so sorry to read of your loss, Geezer. Losing a child at any age is a terrible experience for any family to suffer through. CF is a horrible disease, we’ve known several children who suffered it, and have only a sense of what your daughter and you went through.

Unbelievable myopia by the educated college class.

They are also ignorant. There is no male/female difference in the incidence of cystic fibrosis. The gene is not located on the X or Y chromosome; it’s on chromosome 7 and anybody who gets two copies of the defective gene has cystic fibrosis. These students are beyond stupid.

“Progressives” continue to reveal themselves to be bigots of the most disgustingly repulsive kind.

Doesn’t have an agenda-lobby like other politically charged diseases.

I wonder how many white,guilt-ridden males voted for this to show they were willing to risk death than to be seen as “anti-diversity.”

It’s a disease that prevails among Caucasians. Caucasian includes South Asian, Arab and North African populations.

My supervisor had two daughters with CF in 1977. It was an ongoing effort to keep their lungs clear enough to breathe.

Because of the attention this has brought them, they are now trying to ‘repeal’ this decision, claiming a case of mis information.

More like a case of being exposed as a bunch of self-loathing liberals trying to look more politically correct. with the charities they support.

Everyone should go leave comment at:

Then white people should not give a flipping dime to the fools.

But the dimwit still didn’t bother to mention that the “facts” originally stated as the basis for the change were totally unfactual.

And also “prevails” among females at exactly the same rate as males. Only difference is that females tend to die from it younger. IOW it’s WORSE for females!

Genocidal politics... first they came for those suffering from CF... and this from folkes who call everyone Hitler and are the types most likely getting infected with AIDS or what not.

I mean, there is not a permissive woman-trashing muslim terrorist feminists will fail to adore. So, this is not new for them to institute policies like these.

The logic of permissiveness is going to get stupid liberals.

The “race for the cure” is totally sexist. Will they boycott that too?

“Because of the attention this has brought them, they are now trying to ‘repeal’ this decision, claiming a case of mis information.”

Well, if they reconsider the rationale for their decision, I will retract what I said.

I understand that they can spend in charity how they see fit... it was their ‘reasoning’ that I found offensive.
