Revival of the 10th Amendment should be the centerpiece of a new Republican Contract with America.
What should the other parts be?
Perhaps, realing the 16th Amendment and starting the Fair Tax?

Spend less, reduce the national debt, and the junkie mania to collect tax dollars will fade away. Why is it so hard to get people to understand that. Instead they get mugged for a hundred and then get twenty back and run around happy as a lark saying they got a tax cut. Stupid is as stupid does.

Since so many immigrants have come to our shores of late, how about an Amendment that states that anyone running for any Federal Office or anyone who is appointed to any Federally Appointed Position must verify that they are US Citizens (Born or Naturalized) and that anyone running for US President or VP must provide verification that they are Natural Born US Citizens by the date they declare they are running.
This would mean ALL Federal Judges, ALL Congresspersons, ALL Cabinet Positions, etc.

Oh, I remember the 10th. That was a great one. It renders so many SCOTUS decisions irrelevant for want of five of nine Justices who took the time in law school to actually read the Constitution of the United States of America.

- 10th: Just needs to be enforced. Maybe a clarification, but I like having state's rights explicitly called out.
- 16th: We do need a Federal level tax to pay for the things the Constitution places on the federal government. I think what we all really want is the tax code scrapped and totally reworked.
- 17th: This one made our Democratic-Republic into a Democracy. It cripples state's rights by making both houses of congress beholding to the same body, the people. Having the House accountable to the people and the Senate accountable to the states provided a balance of power.
