UFOs over New York (vanity)
Posted on 10/17/2008 6:52:41 AM PDT by wtc911
Ok, a vanity about UFOs no less but....I'll lay it out as I saw it....
On Wednesday 10/15/08 at @ 17:35 I was on the SW corner of Northern Blvd. and 254 Street in Little Neck, Queens, NYC. Conditions were CAVU. My grandson, a friend (40s) and I watched two very small white objects remain motionless at avery high altitude. They were high enough for a commercial jet to pass well below them. At @ 17:52 they disappeared. They did not transit the sky, they just disappeared.

I was on I495 about that time yesterday headed back to New Jersey from Long Island. The atmospheric conditions were pretty neat yesterday, and in a moment of stalled traffic, I even took this picture out of my car window...
Curious you should mention that because I also saw two lights at very high altitude, and although they DID turn out to be an airliner, for maybe about 15-20 seconds, they did look like two separate lights....

Too high to take a cell phone shot. The were really tiny. I did a search a few minutes ago on 'ufos nyc october 15' and this came up...

Is the invasion imminent? That would make the day more interesting. IIRC, the invasion was supposed to happen last Tuesday, October 14.

Closer to LaGuardia (8 miles to the NW) than JFK (15 miles to the SW) but in these were SE of my position. Fort Totten is @ 3 miles NW of where I was standing.
My wife has said for years that she saw something decades ago. I told her that ufos are like ghosts. If you've seen none you believe, if you haven't you don't. I just changed sides.
btw...I am an amateur astronomer - I know what stars look like and I've never seen one in daylight...have you?

It’s the Mothership coming for that abysmal fake, Farrakhan.

Satellites. From your vantige point they appeared to be stationary. They were reflecting sunlight until their position changed. That was my first thought. It's also very difficult to determine the distance to a bright light in the night sky because there's no reference point.

That makes sense except that geostationary (geosynchronous) satellites must orbit directly over the Equator.

Were there any clouds in the sky that might have blocked the sun’s rays toward the objects?
