(Vanity) Now is not the time to go wobbly
MEP

Posted on 10/10/2008 7:04:45 PM PDT by MrsEmmaPeel

I'm starting this thread to counter act the surrender threads currently out there. I wasn't at today's McCain rally in Minnesota. I only see what the MSM packages for me to see, which I suspect was intended to demoralize.

I choose not to be demoralized. And I ask that those of you who are going wobbly to stop it. I will still gladly vote for McCain/Palin.

Do not let the naysayers get you down. All is well. Stratergy is what is happening.

...

If he really believed that, McCain would not be posting all of these increasingly effective ads.

I wonder what the likelihood is that McCain is posting the ads as a way to keep folks like us placated until he's really ready to start throwing punches (like after the last debate)?

Obama is literally crushing McCain with ad buys ... but it was only a month or so ago that a lot of worries were being raised by Dems and in the MSM about how Obama was blowing all his money (which he had to raise all on his own) while McCain, having accepted $80+ million in Federal financing, was sitting on a huge pile of cash. And from what I've seen Obama is still spending money like a drunken sailor in Po City, while McCain seems to be conserving his warchest.

And that's not even thinking about how we've seen hardly any activity by GOP 527s this far.

Could be political rope-a-dope, I suppose. But given how we're really coming down to the wire I can't blame folks for starting to get nervous that McCain is going the Bob Dole "Lose with Honor" route.

More and more Americans associate ACORN with vote fraud. Obama’s ACORN ties are just beginning to be exposed to the public. Make ACORN the albatross around his neck and he can't win.

Praying and confidence that there is no way that a Socialist will run the United States of America.
Judges that will be selected in the 4 year’s is very important.
Please vote for Republicans.

"We can rip McCain a new one after he wins." That is really getting to be funny. McCain could not care less what conservatives think when he needs the vote. What makes you think that he is going to bend to your will once you get him in office? Serious question. Agree but.... Just imagine every time we rant against McCain (as president) then just after posting... smile to the fact that it's NOT OBAMA!!!

we hold no such illusions....we know exactly what John McCain is.....

we also know what he is NOT....and he is not close friends with domestic bombers, nor does he have dual citizenship and he actually has a BC, and he is not a Chicago mobster, and he is not an inciter of violence on foreign soil, etc etc..etc...

McCain IS NOT hussien....enough said...

Sponsoring legislation that supports amnesty for illegal aliens, restricting free speech for campaign finance reform, advancing the cause of human induced global warming to impose more restrictions on people's freedom and the latest socialist bail out scam maybe your idea of serving the country but not mine. I'm not about to put my faith in anyone who supports those positions that we know will destroy our Democratic Republic.

My own personal read on this is that McCain knows that he has a funding disadvantage with Hussein; its been like that all campaign. I think that McCain also knows that most people really begin to pay attention to elections within the last month....especially the last 2 weeks. (The political junkies like FReepers are in the minority). Also, McCain knows that Hussein is weak when it comes to the polls; he can't close the deal. In addition, he knows that the Hussein campaign has not been successful in stigmatizing McCain; he has good favorable numbers. Last but not least, he knows that Hussein has ALOT of garbage hanging around his neck that can be used.

I think the ex-navy pilot knows that if you don't have unlimited ammunition, you can't be using it liberally and early in a fight. I think that McCain is beginning to ratchet up the campaign starting just a couple of days ago. The ACORN ad is fantastic; there is more to come. Finally, while McCain is not a great debater, I believe you will see a noticeable difference in this last debate. McCain will be more aggressive and pin more things on Hussein.

Sarah really whipped McCain into shape on that pork bailout that he just voted for, didn't she? Oh, and she kept him from saying that the nation had nothing to fear from Obama from president because he is a decent guy.

All sarcasm aside, Sarah Palin is McCain's running mate, not his master. I like her ... always have, but I have to look at the reality of the situation. McCain did not place her on the ticket to be his alter ego, and she is not going to be in charge.
