Gamey ... but funny. Reminds me of the time the Lab dragged home the hind quarter of a deer that was in the process of being butchered. We roamed the neighborhood looking for the “owner” but didn’t find anyone who had recently shot a whitetail.

"...Mr. Fulrath, who is into video games and comic books and calls himself a straight, geeky guy..." Nope. Nothing gay about cats. Or mousse. Or ruffled cuffs. Or bare chests with gold chains...

My husband is NOT a ‘cat person’ but he was the one that found our current cats at the shelter after MY cats, aged 17 & 15 had died of old age. He did it for me, and I thought it was very sweet. :) Plus, he appreciates how I’ve cared for and put up with his smelly hunting dogs all these years...
My worry is that these men are developing unhealthy relationships with CATS. They’re CATS! Not living, breathing women. That’s the part I find scary...anyone that puts pet relationships above human relationships is not firing on all cylinders, IMHO.

Slate just *loved* this story:
"How to write a bogus trend story: Start with something you wish were on the rise. State that rise as a fact. Allow that there are no facts, surveys, or test results to support such a fact. Use and reuse the word seems. Collect anecdotes and sprinkle liberally. Drift from your original point as far as you can to collect other data points. Add liberally. Finish with an upbeat quotation like "My cat takes priority over the new relationship. Realistically, unless there's something absolutely amazing about [the woman I'm dating], he wins." Send bogus trend stories to..."
