I believe you; I just could not resist some “beer humor.”

Now that you mention it, I think I have noticed that phenomenon. But only in a range, you get below certain temps and it does not apply :-)

One phenomenon I really noticed on the the early flat 4 jap bikes, was that they got real light on the front end at 120+.

Since HD introduced “The Hugger”, more women are on Harleys than ever.

Does it have wings?

Can’t turn so hard to put those foot pads into the pavement. Why do you suppose this guy is riding with only one hand?

I think the standing temps that day were around 75 or so.
I was cold at 65 mph but at 80, I felt toasty.

Weird.

“One phenomenon I really noticed on the the early flat 4 jap bikes, was that they got real light on the front end at 120+”

Not a pleasant thought.
Bad enough that if I get too carried away jack-rabbiting from stop signs that the front of my trike lifts up.

[maybe I should start wearing jockey weights to hold myself down]...:))

Some interesting trivia;

McCain visited Sturgis.
The bikers went wild.
Most HD riders are conservatives and a huge majority of them are veterans or active duty.
They are a “God, Guns & Guts” demographic who will not be supporting 0.

The local crotch rocket riders are, for the most part, into “tribal tats’, bizarre piercings, rap music and “liberal thought”.

The LEO is constantly patrolling certain highway/road areas in an effort to keep them from killing themselves or other people.
There is no similar organized effort for HD riders.

Personally, I’d rather associate with Republican “fat biker broads with boobies swinging past their knees” and old ugly vets on “slow” bikes than elegant little cafe racer ‘boyz’ with Obama stickers on their cars and airhead girlfriends who are so, like ya know, politically correct an’ stuff.

[and the “fat old broads” are usually the wives of the vets who have stood by them during their service to this country]

On all our of charity/benefit runs, perhaps 3 or 4% are riding rice burners, even though we -always- invite *all* motorcyclists to come lend a helping hand.

You stick with the “beautiful people” and I’ll stick with my ugly friends.

I’m not ashamed to be seen with them.
In fact, considering who most of them are and what they’ve sacrificed in this country’s behalf, I’m honored to be allowed among them.
