What this scandal needs is a great coined name... here it is... "The Fannie Mae Four"
Barney Frank, Christopher Dodd, Jim Johnson, Franklin Raines
As a bonus... I also coined the term "The Vanity Post" for the source line for vanity posts. Enjoy. :)
Nothing to see here move along. The bi-partisan screw job this weekend won’t assign blame.
What about FannieGate... or FreddieGate?
The Fannie Mae F*&$
Barney is only concerned with Mac’s fannie
True, but then thats what we are here for. We will assign the blame... in fact that is what this vanity post just did lol.
We have got to shut down this socialist experiment called Fannie Mae (and the other one also).
I suggest the ‘Fannie Mae Five’ and include Obama.
Those work. I think adding a 'gate' to it would be a decent idea. Its been a bit overused, but it would work.
I guess I like the "Fannie Mae Four" because it assigns individual blame, although the Democrat Congress at large had the full responsibility and shares the largest burden of blame imho.
Seconded and passed! It is now the "Fannie Mae Five"!
And please- let us not forget the Clintons, Jamie Gorelick (sp?), Mudd and the other dem donors and “CEO”s with their hands in the till.
...btw...
Has anyone investigated whether or not Soros is in this- or should I say, How deeply? This stinks of his work...
Anyone remember when we started writing our Federal Tax checks to the “Treasury Department” instead of the “Internal Revenue Service”?? Anyone know why the change occurred?
Who was this Daniel Mudd who owns a $50-million house?

Nah. Needs a better ring to it.
How about “the Fannie Pack”?

I propose the “Fannie Packers”, but I suggest they add Jamie Gorelik to the team, the Fannie Mae employee that hustled away with millions after being the person who put up the legal wall between CIA and FBI under the Clinton Administration. The ads should emphasize crashing the World Trade Center buildings before crashing Fannie Mae and, indirectly, your home value.
How did the son of a second-rate journalist get the dough to get a house like that? Off the government dole?
Should be the Fanny Five- throw in Jamie Gorelick’s fanny too.
In his personal life, [NBC News Chief White House Correspondent David] Gregory also rubs shoulders with newsmakers. At a baby shower for his wife before their son Max, now 3, was born, Michael Chertoff, then an assistant attorney general, disappeared into another room with a Justice Department colleague while Gregory tried to figure out what was going on. It turned out they were finalizing a plea agreement with John Walker Lindh, the American captured while fighting for the Taliban. [His wife Beth] Wilkinson last month became general counsel of Fannie Mae, and the couple now have 8-month-old twins as well.
“She knows everyone in government, and she tells me nothing,” Gregory grumbles.
So the wife of NBC’s top White House guy was, until recently, Fannie Mae’s top lawyer, paid about $3 million a year. Reader MB points out that she was a politically active lawyer, too, making sizable donations to: Obama, Dodd, Kerry, Clark, and Romney.
