Given how slow FR has been for the past few weeks and now seemingly to slow to a grind, I can't imagine the site being of any use on election night. The traffic would just crush it, especially if it can't handle the current load.
Is there a backup plan? Is the old Yahoo site still up and running?
It has been sluggish for several months now.
It crashed twice — when Hillary was withdrawing and when she endorsed Obama.
It was slow before the last ‘upgrades’ but it has gotten worse. Any ‘live’ events and posting takes forever.
browser settings? cookie exceptions, etc?
No.
It's more likely that I don't remember my password.
Don’t they have a password reset function over there at the login?
We ordered three new servers two or three weeks ago. They have been received, John configured them, loaded the latest and greatest versions of the systems software, installed them at the data center and is now in the process of working them into our online system. We should begin seeing some improvement soon. He’s already ran into some integration snags though, but hopefully he’ll have it all worked out in time for the debates.
Cool Jim :-)
WTG JimRob!! FR must never go down. Thanks a million for all you do to keep FR going!
Ooohh, those are the really nice ones with the Gerbilators and the hypnotic swirlybulbs!

FANTASTIC NEWS, Jim ! Thanks so much for the update!
Something sure happened in the last couple of hours, because the site’s rockin’!
David Kernell can help you with that password ... better hurry though I hear he may be tied up for a few years!
Hi Mr. Jim! Hope you are feeling better!
Goodness gracious, when American Idol was on the system was so slow. We’re talking serious stuff here - it’s American frickin’ Idol!
ROTFL!! :-D
For the last few elections, my plan has been: go to bed.
No real results will be available until after midnight. So I get up early, and see what happened, and miss all the dreck.
Thanks.
Thanks. :-)
thx Jim....I would be all in favor of starting the freepathon early so we can get it done and out of the way......
