From J.J. Abrams ("Lost"), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the team behind "Star Trek," "Mission: Impossible III" and "Alias," comes a new series that will thrill, terrify and explore the blurring line between the possible and the impossible.
When an international flight lands at Boston's Logan Airport with no signs of life, FBI Special Agent OLIVIA DUNHAM (Anna Torv) is called in to investigate as part of an inter-agency task force. After her partner, Special Agent JOHN SCOTT (Mark Valley), is nearly killed during the investigation, a desperate Olivia searches frantically for someone to help, leading her to DR. WALTER BISHOP (John Noble), our generation's Einstein. There's only one catch: he's been institutionalized for the last 17 years, and the only way to question him requires pulling his estranged son PETER (Joshua Jackson) in to help.
When Olivia's investigation leads to multi-billion dollar corporation Massive Dynamic and its manipulative corporate executive, NINA SHARP (Blair Brown), our unlikely trio, along with Department of Homeland Security Agent PHILLIP BROYLES (Lance Reddick) and FBI Agents CHARLIE FRANCIS (Kirk Acevedo) and ASTRID FARNSWORTH (Jasika Nicole), will discover that what happened on Flight 627 is only a small piece of a larger, more shocking truth.
The FRINGE pilot is directed by Emmy Award-winning Alex Graves ("The West Wing"), and the series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Bad Robot Productions. J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and Bryan Burk serve as executive producers.
Thanks Lucky9teen:)
Thanks - marked to watch later!
dang!
I live in the boonies and only get a few channels with my antenna - this isn’t one of them.
Maybe that’ll change when we get the HD antenna going next year.
Oh well - this might just have to be a show where I’ll buy or rent the DVD’s after each season.
Thanks for the ping!
You can always watch it the next day on line... ;)
I think one of the reasons that the rating weren’t that good is because the pilot was leaked online months ago - early summer - and I think that most of the fanbase had already seen it.
dial-up here :(
I dunno, the effects budget for the pilot at least looked like it had to be incredible, cause CGI-ing (presumably) see-through skin and that dream/psychic sequence had to have been a lot more work than changing up a few things in the same alley, although maybe that’s just because it was the pilot for the series.
CGI is cheap. CGI is a lot of how JJ made the same alley “move” all over the world, find some neon sign with Chinese script on it in the prop room CGI a chunk of the Hong Kong skyline and WALA. Even with non-skyline object stuff, CGI is why B5 was so cheap to make.
The advertised HD Ready antennae sold at most electronics stores are a rip-off. Antenna technology has not changed in generations.
Just get the biggest outdoor antenna you want or are allowed to install [go to a hardware store], mine is about the size of an adult, and point that towards the towers. The hardest part is installing the wiring from the antenna to your home [use top quality R6 wire—buy it from a hardware store, much cheaper]. It will work like a charm.
We had perfect digital reception, 35 miles outside of town, during Hurricane Ike, up until we lost power. [We have power back now.]
thanks for the info!
Now if I can just figure out exactly what towers you’re talking about - then I’m in good shape!
Looks very interesting, could be good.
You can find out which way to point your antenna here:

For example, I figured out that in Houston, the antennas are clustered near the intersection of 59 and 6-10 loop.
thanks again stat-boy!
gotta bookmark this one!
8C 9EST, supposed to be a pretty good show, from FOX
It was already great, but in this episode it took the huge leap up from a "better-than-X-Files" show into the strata of Alias and Lost.
Can't wait to find out more about "Zerstörung durch Fortschritte der Technologie" and the other nine tests!

If you see any fansite with close-up screen caps of Nick Lane’s bulletin boards, could you please let me know? Thanks!
Just watched “The Road Not Taken” — loved the dimension-hopping scenes!
Just watched “A New Day In The Old Town.” Fantastic!!! (Too bad about Charlie.) Agent Jessup is great!
