Is the Obama campaign falling thru the floor? New poll numbers favor McCain/Palin.
Hurricane Ike crosses over Cuba heading for the GOM and another possible US landing.
Sarah Palin will sit down with ABC's Charles Gibson for a one on one interview this week.
The federal government has taken over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in an effort to stabilize the struggling housing market. That means you, me, all us taxpayers... have assumed the risk of this bailout...
And finally, the 7th anniversary of a horrendous day in our beloved country's history approaches..
Let's keep our country, our citizens, and that day's victims in our prayers this week.
Precisely. He was trying to trick her into saying she wasn’t qualified or ready or was trying to make her seem egotistical.
It didn’t work.
kassie, do take care.
I'm just sick about Galveston.
Good morning. How are you today?
Prayers up for all in harms way.
Toby, I don’t believe I’ve seen you here all week. Please check in when you can. Your area is included in our prayers as well.
My little home town on the mainland n. of Galveston is going to be liquified....whirred up, crushed, and gone.
Palin right on Bush Doctrine... weekly Standard
Obama mocks McCain as computer illiterate Sick, sick! What happened to that lofty, new tone the annointed one was taking??
Oh that looks yummy. Thank you and Good Morning.
Well we know Nobama is computer literate because even the computer records of his stint in the state senate have been deleted down to the last document...;-))
I am so sorry. That really hurts.
Yes. I have been told that I’m a fledgling geek and I know enough to know that it is hard to completely wipe a hard drive clean. If you’ve ever typed something, it is more than likely still there. To get all the documents off, takes some doing.
Well, dems seem to be "experienced" in that area.
I’m so sorry.
Jemian I want to give you a cyber hug & let you know you have been on my prayer list big time. I am saddened that your short months stateside have been marred with the many & various health problems. You wont return until things are settled will you?
I have been hit & miss at the various threads (3 deaths/funerals this week — no not mom).. and other “life concerns” here on home front
Molly thanks for the kudos on the 911 thread. I only posted it here at the urging of a friend.. and I am glad I did, there was remarkable response. My hesitation was that it would turn into the normal Bush bash, borders issue, religion fights that have permeated too many threads & have kept me at arms length.
None were noted...There are some remarkable poignant links, videos etc that contributors shared. It will take me a long time to update my master HTML / BBC files with the new information. If anyone hasn’t gotten there I urge you to at least bookmark it for future reading. IT is really heavy with graphics.. so if you are on dial up, it would be good if you could somehow not show graphics for this thread so you can still get links, information etc w/o the long load times
Hope all are well. We are getting some much needed rain here in NE Ohio. Looks like football (band show) will be washed out tonight. However, I am ready for more movies.. the past weeks of conventions & mom in hospital & rehab have put me way behind. I have a pretty long list of movies I wish to see
On the trip back from funeral yesterday I saw an abundance of Ron Paul yard signs.. ONE McCain & NOObama signs. Trip covered about 230 miles mostly in rural/small town areas
My hangouts there also Molly. I did not live in Houston as long as you were in Galveston..but had many fond memories. My time off was in San Antonio or at the beach..
have you ever tried bleach?
I’ve used bleach for whitening fabrics, disinfecting vegetables and a perhaps a few other uses. What use are you thinking of?
cleaning your hard drive of those pesky things that remain
(bad humor?)
Obama: Jesus Christ was a community organizer
Palin: Pontius Pilot was a governor
I believe that pretty much shows that liberals are definitely mentally ill
Ah, Dolly, my bad. I didn’t pick up on the reference. Sorry.
Bev, my come-back for that is that Hitler and Genghis Khan were both community organizers, too.
From the opening of the thread this week. I'm thinking that there was a movie in recent years with a similar name: How to Lose a Guy An Election In 10 Days.
There. See? Same plot.
I’m so sorry, Molly. It looks like Galveston already is flooding, from what I saw on Fox.
It’s hard to see destruction come to a place you love.
