Is the Obama campaign falling thru the floor? New poll numbers favor McCain/Palin.
Hurricane Ike crosses over Cuba heading for the GOM and another possible US landing.
Sarah Palin will sit down with ABC's Charles Gibson for a one on one interview this week.
The federal government has taken over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in an effort to stabilize the struggling housing market. That means you, me, all us taxpayers... have assumed the risk of this bailout...
And finally, the 7th anniversary of a horrendous day in our beloved country's history approaches..
Let's keep our country, our citizens, and that day's victims in our prayers this week.
327 OBAMA 206 MCCAIN what’s up with that electorial count? I really don’t like those numbers!!!
Obama/Biden 217
172 Solid 45 Leaning
McCain/Palin 174
142 Solid 32 Leaning
Toss Up 147
Make sure you tell him how special you are to us and that you have many friends, here, who are quite concerned. Okay?
I’ll try, but my impression of this doc (he was assigned to me in the hospital) is that he doesn’t listen to his patients. I think his name is House.
No, its McKenzie. But it might be HOUSE McKenzie.
One of Sarah's favorite shows. I've never watched it, though.
I enjoy it. Mostly. I also enjoyed season 1 of 24. I haven’t seen any of the other seasons. I need to clear some time so that I can watch it all at once.
@4..we are fans. It’s disappointing that the next season has been delayed for so long.
Obama's Lead Shrinks...in Massachusetts?!
Massachusetts, a prime bastion of liberal lunacy.
Good afternoon everybody, I see Ike may be taking more a bead on S. Texas...will have to keep an eye on it but at least we won’t have to evacuate, LOL!
Jem, glad to read you’re seeing the MD if you aren’t feeling good again.
Bit, I’ve just printed out that Brian York / Fannie Mae piece you linked and going to take it in the house to read.
I’ll keep Ike in the prayers to go where the rain is needed most. My mother pointed out that the south benefits from three or four tropical depressions per year. It keeps our water table high.
Tomorrow is basically a hospital follow-up visit. I have a feeling that the doc will take a urine sample, poke at my stomach and then say he thinks we’ve caught the worst of it. I have no expectation that he’ll treat me further.
I typed a reply to you hours ago. I don’t know why it didn’t post.
My toes are tingly, but on the road to recovery.
How are you ????
Back still sore, some abdominal tenderness and no stamina. Same ole, same ole.
I hope the two of you rebound soon. I remember last fall, when I was healing my toes. It took all fall. And I was in a deep, total snit about it.
Keep your attitudes UP, and think of the good things ahead.
There’s more re Jim Johnson: Turns that Johnson was leading the vice president vetting team when he was deep-sixed in June. He was thrown under the bus because it came to light that, in addition to taking down big bucks at FM, Johnson was also involved with the Countrywide scandal from early this year!!! He was doing the same thing there, getting ginned-up bonuses and getting under-prime personal loans....none of it illegal, mind you...;-))
You mentioned term limits the other day, and the first thing that came to mind was ‘Bill Frist’. What happened with him, and is he not a poster child against term limits and bringing in rookies?
Will do.
Hopefully the dr. will do more than poke your stomach!!!
I’ll let you know.
