Heads up everyone. The left is starting to push out a new smear against Palin. I just got an email in a 'dummy' account that I use to troll talking points from leftwing groups. They are using the photo below to pose as Conservatives on forums and blogs and say that Palin refuses to wear an 'American Flag' that it is an Israli flag. The truth is, this is a "Blue Star Family" pin honoring a son in service. Apparently the left has no idea what this pin is or they hope enough gullible people don't look into it.

In all fairness, the pin does look like an Israeli flag in the photo posted. The border doesn't show as red, and it doesn't show at all on the right and left.

I think they are purposefully choosing that blurry, poorly rendered photo. On other photos of her last night, the pin is quite clear.

I overheard some of the leftists that I work with say that they should put a price on his (Track) head when he deploys to the M.E.. I hope it's just some more of their hate speech but when you look at the people that they are following I wouldn't put it past them.

If you meet the mother of a soldier, and you see her wearing a lapen pin with a 5 pointed star on it, and you assume its the 6 sided star of David, without bothering to confirm and start alleging its the Israeli flag you are just an ignorant jacka$$ pure and simple.

I keep waiting for the Left to attack Sen. McCain's use of the silver-colored star. It appears like he's using an insignia of a pay grade he never held (O-7), although I suppose he could claim it's a reference to his Silver Star, if not just a generic star.

Or am I missing something?

Of course, the signs have Palin on them now, but they did have just John McCain and the insignia before.

On this, I disagree...it's not "quite clear"...unless you already know what it is. Note that back in February, there was a question about her necklace pendant (i.e., is it Tinkerbell?), so things are not always clear objectively--your bias for what you're seeing makes it seem clearer than the actual information provided by the image.

And since I was pushing for Gov. Palin as VP so far back, it should be obvious that my comments are not fueled by any bias in favor of her critics, but I'm just pointing out that other photos you posted (also Photoshopped, incidentally) still aren't unambiguous.
