The Politico has received an opposition research file from the Alaska Democrats. You can read it in PDF here.
In the file, the Democrats have released Sarah Palin's social security number minus the last four digits. Also tied to the information are her various home addresses.
Back in 2005, Democrats used Michael Steele's social security number to get his credit record.
It is atrocious that the Democrats would not only seek out Sarah Palin's social security number, but release it in opposition research to the press.
We need to know who did this. We also need to know what happened. We also need to know if it was used to bolster the Democrats' opposition research.
When it happened to Michael Steele, it turns out the Democrats knew about it and did nothing.
They cannot not take action now.

I liked what I saw, most of it sounded like whining from the left-wing local newspaper. They were very upset with her thinking about firing the department heads when she became Mayor. There was all kinds of good stuff in there about her firing the police chief. She seems like a pave the local roads vs maintain the local museum type person. Small government types will like what they see.
Unbelievable that this would happen.

Someone needs to be prosecuted for this.
I wonder how Obama won his Senate seat? His people pressed for the release of Gov Ryan’s divorce records... Note also Obama’s people looked into the passport records of Hillary & McCain. Obama’s thugs are behind all of this.

If I’m a GOP operative I’m all over this right here and RIGHT NOW. This is F’ing ridiculous. Last week I wasn’t going to vote for McCain, but since he picked Palin I’ve got excited. And since all of this anti-Palin crap has come out I’ve really got excited. And now with this latest nonsense I’m in a full lather I’m so ticked at the left and their B.S.
I know a little about the numbers. I won’t make it any easier for anyone, but these people have to be addressed, and Obama has to apologize. McCain chastised people (TN Repub Party) for mentioning B Hussein’s middle name. THAT was too prissy of him., THIS is war. It needs to be addressed with all legal remedies available.
I believe it isn’t hard to guess the first several numbers based on place of birth and date. Pretty much public knowledge.

It wasn't released to us. But who redacted it? If the Politico redacted it, then it was released to them. If their source redacted it, it was released to their source.
There ought to be an investigation.
I have no disagreement at all with your post. These people are scum, and they do need to be addressed head on. I’m just not going to be distracted by a supposed SSN scandal.

Every piece of paperwork I have that shows a partial SS# shows the last 4 digits. I have never seen anywhere that shows the first 7 and omit the last four. By showing the part of the SS# that is least public, they have most certainly pushed it as far as they could to release her number.
It will be less than 24 hours, I predict before that is released as well
