Actress blogs that Sarah Palin should focus on campaign, not daughter's pregnancy.
While speaking to the delegates of the Republican National Convention on Monday, vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin announced that her 17-year-old-daughter, Bristol, is five months pregnant. The chatter sparked by the news included a few words from someone who knows what it's like to be a teenage girl in the public eye: Lindsay Lohan took to her MySpace blog to weigh in on the issue.
"Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place," Lohan wrote. "It's distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.
She continued, "I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them if elected. I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but I would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what."
She also talks about the importance of sex education for teenagers. "I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)," she wrote.
Tuesday morning (September 2), media outlets began running details from the MySpace page of the father of Bristol's baby, 18-year-old Levi Johnston. (The MySpace page has since been removed.) The Wasilla, Alaska, hockey player's page had listed him as being in a relationship, but under his "children" status, Johnston opted for "I don't want kids."
On Monday, Sarah Palin issued a statement about Bristol's pregnancy saying that she and her husband, Todd, are "proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support." The statement noted that Bristol and Johnston will marry, and asked that the media "respect our daughter and Levi's privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates."
She's trying but couldn't remember which end it was on.
I think Lindsay is after Levi.
Lindsay's lesbian lover.
In the words of Mad Magazine...yecccccchh!
Colonel, USAFR
Hollywood starlet whore ping.
So all that from a rug muncher, and who cares?
She needs to focus on her lesbian D.J. sidekick and stop giving advice to real people.
“Can Lindsay get back to showing off her cooter soon?”
Is that a Vespa or a Yamaha?
Who does she think she is........Barbra Streisand, the Golda Meir of Malibu Beach?
Leni
I’d say a BMW with very bad compression. Worn cylinder walls ya know......
I happen to agree with her. Let’s switch the conversation to our strengths and focus on winning this thing.
“Worn cylinder walls ya know......”
Not an image I care to contemplate.
I have a myspace account that says I’m single. Everyone who knows me on that profile knows I’m married. I just never bothered to mess with the info. So, even if it were a real profile (which I heard it wasn’t), that doesn’t make any difference.
Huh????????? Like is that right Lindsay????????? Like how long have you been out???????????? Like...how about just shuttin’ up. Stupid is a stupid does and they come out and speak. Amazing...
... then get on a table and do a dance for me.
That would be side wall ;-)
LOL
You mean that Stalinists in the media are STILL engaging in the same tactics they erroneously accused Senator Joe McCarthy of doing?
You know, this is going to sound weird, but I was just wondering what Lohan’s thoughts on this subject were.
We really don’t want to hear what Hollyweird thinks or say!
Thank you Sir for your service to our country!
