That’s ‘cause you’re special, lysie. Just a few more days and you hip will be fixed. I’ll really be praying and thinking of you.

Sounds like Mort Kondracke made a mess on Fox News tonite discussing Bristol Palin.

Yup, Mort put his foot in his mouth big time this evening. If only Sarah Palin had not requested federal dollars for abstinence education on sex, then her daughter wouldn't be pregnant right now. (Rolling my eyes here.) The exchange is on Youtube.

And Miss Marple, I was mighty proud of Bill Kristol this evening. He put the smackdown on Mort big time. He told Mort he was picking on a 17 year old girl for political reasons and to quit it. Wow. Even Mara Eliason was upset at Mort for his comments.

We are dealing with Satanic forces that have as their top pick for president, a being that promotes infanticide. This is as evil, if not more so, than the creators and managers of the Holocaust.

McCain, Mrs. Palin, and Biden notwithstanding, it is unthinkable that the country that is the last best hope of Earth is on the precipice of electing an infanticide promoter as president.

Here's what James Dobson had to say.
"In the 32-year history of Focus on the Family, we have offered prayer, counseling and resource assistance to tens of thousands of parents and children in the same situation the Palins find themselves in. We have always encouraged the parents to love and support their children and always advised the girls to see their pregnancies through, even though there will of course be challenges along the way. That is what the Palins are doing and they should be commended for once again not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but in living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances. "Being a Christian does not mean you're perfect. Nor does it mean that your children are perfect. But it does mean that there is forgiveness and restoration when we confess our imperfections to the Lord. I've been the beneficiary of that forgiveness and restoration in my own life countless times, as I'm sure the Palins have." "The media is already trying to spin this as evidence that Gov. Palin is a 'hypocrite,' but all it really means is that she and her family are human. They are in my prayers and those of millions of Americans."
Dobson can be so eloquent. I've also taught young women in my church (14 and 15 years of age.) They gave us training on how to work with a young woman who is pregnant and not married. The first thing was Love. They know they have made a mistake. Don't be judgmental, and give them their options (doesn't include abortion.) In my faith, marrying the baby's father is the preferred way, but many times that isn't an option. They then recommend adoption (which I think would be extremely hard, but then the baby does deserve a mom and a dad.) Or keeping the baby. They list the pros and cons and give the girls hope.

It was excellent training. In the seven years I served, there were four out-of-wedlock pregnancies. 2 married and are still married 15 years later. 1 kept the baby and later married the father. 1 put up her baby for adoption and is now married with 2 children. I'm not saying everything has gone right for these young women, but they were able to make choices about their pregnancies. (I helped counsel one girl, but we all realize that through sincere prayer that it is the Lord who helped those girls through one of the most difficult decisions in their lives. I take no credit...)

No 2/3s she’s not a FReeper, but a conservative. I would be very careful entering into moveon and kos. I uderstand they are quite vicious and they are trackers. I use my retaliations against our locals, who know NOTHING about nobama. Of course we are the mintority here but we are making headway.

I’ll tell her to check in here and contact you. She’s one of those super intellectuals...biology teacher etc. She’s a neat conservative, although she has run on a democrat ticket to be a member of the city countil...I’ll be hard pressed to forgive her for that, but she is a conservative.

Yes you are right about the democrats slamming Gov Sarah Palin. I hold her in my prayers all day long, along with Sen McCain. She needs our prayers full time.

Bev, on the radio this afternoon, Roger Hedgecock was broadcasting from Minneapolis, and a man called in.

He said "Roger, you have to help me - I thought I knew who I was going to vote for. You see, I am an African-American from San Diego and I have been firmly in the Obama camp. Then, I saw the Saddleback repeat on television, and Roger, I'm so torn now." So RH says "so who would make the better President?" AA man said "McCain, of course - no doubt." I think he'll vote for McCain/Palin. ;)

Utah Girl, thanks for the extra info from the Fox /Kondracke incident. Glad Mara pounced on him too. I've always thought Mort was a decent fellow, but lately...maybe someone close to him like Fred B. should check on him...

Just saw this breaking news on Fox: Geraldo inches away from levee with water overlapping the top.

Hilarious!

So d the Convention is going to resume pretty much normal programming tomorrow night??.

Bev, thanks for your very informative post from the Dr. from NC.

I greatly appreciate your effort and work in posting it, but I could only read the first 2 or 3 sentences. If I were to read further, my head would explode.

I know everyone here knows this, but I want to Emphasize it as strongly as I can. We have one, and only one chance to defeat this evil in the near term and that is on Nov. 4. If we lose, the damage that will be done over the next 4 years will be so monumental that America will not recover from it, no matter who is elected in 2012.

Agreed jtill - some of these people are hateful. They remind me of the type of folks I encountered in church as a young person....

“having marital problems? Divorce is a sin, so commit murder.”

2/3s they are here. We have a lot of people from other lands who have come here to overthrow this country. I’ve seen people who don’t realize they are under the control of these people, and follow their lead. We also have a lot of people from foreign lands who have come here for the largess we dole out as welfare help. They really don’t give a flip about this country except what they can get for free. This has been going on for many, many years. We’ve had people who come here legally, then sponsor realivites who are imediatelly put on the dole and have been there for 30/40/50 years....eastern Europeans.

Thanks for the links, Molly! I’m still so excited about Palin and her entrance to the national stage I can barely contain myself!

(And yes, that is knowing about Bristol’s pregnancy and the family’s loving response to it and that the scum who were saying that Trig was Bristol’s were proven wrong AGAIN with this news!) It’s funny to see the left in SUCH a dither!

“having marital problems? Divorce is a sin, so commit murder.”

Absolutely terrific counseling for someone having marital problems.

My prayers are with that young girl (child, actually) who has had all of her life exposed to the entire world. Can you even imagine the hurt?

Thanks for the laugh. Snopes claims that the part of Mr. Ed was played by a zebra. I missed that one. LOL!!

Actually, I have more than felt bias in a number of their explanations and have even found some that were in error, so I have little faith in most of their information.

I have a sister who sent me the most vile email about McCain picking Palin that I was aghast. I tried to get my mom to delete it before she read it, but I was too late. It is so disheartening to have family members (who really don’t know anything but what lies the Dems tell them) try to force their opinions on the rest of us about the Anointed One.

Remember, to Dems, we’re not just wrong, we’re eeeeevil. How sad to be that restricted or brainwashed in their thinking.

Good morning, till. Yes, I agree. That’s why we had better keep the presidency or those people you are talking about will have their people in total control of the government.
