Apple has begun airing another new "Get a Mac" ad, "Off The Air," on U.S. network and cable television.
In the ad, "PC" is confronted by "Mac" and a Mac Genius who explain that dumping a Windows PC and switching to a Mac is easier than ever since when you buy a Mac, the Apple Store Mac Genius will transfer your files from your old PC to your new Mac for free.
At this point, Apple makes one of their most brutally honest points ever, as "PC" responds:
Oh, no, no, no, no... My frustrated users don't need to hear about that. See, fear of switching is the foundation of customer loyalty for PCs.
"PC" then rolls down a fake color bar chart over the camera and makes a continuous "beep" noise as he takes the spot "Off The Air."
MacDailyNews Take: Bill Gates "PC" loves badly faked things. Poor simulations are his life.

Microsoft hits back.
perfect timing. Ms blundered it with vista. I think vista is great but to the average joe, they hate it. One thing really isnt their fault except for buying the cheapest computer possible. A friend of mine bought a dirt cheap laptop 512 of ram and vista. well, no wonder it gets a bad rep. 75 dollars later it had 2 gig of ram and it was blazingly fast. Sure it is a little bloated but I noticed xp is requiring more ram. 512 usta run xp pretty nicely but with recent updates 1 gig is necessary but folks ram is cheap buy it.
Top that, Seinfeld.

I hope Apple used a condom (viruses).

I was not aware that all of my winxp programs could run on a mac. Is this true?
Windows, Not Walls
Yup, either through the free Boot Camp, or through VMWare Fusion or Parallels. Just as fast as they would be if the Mac was a PC.
You can even run Windows 2000 on it, if you want. And you can run Win98 or DOS in a VM inside XP on a Mac.
Yes.
The new Intel Macs can run both WindowsXP and Windows Vista (and all their software) either by booting into them through Boot Camp or through Virtualization under OS X with either Parallels or VMWare's Fusion. The Mac also runs all OS X, UNIX, and LINUX software... at the same time.
PC Magazine reported in November that the fastest laptop computer running Vista they tested in 2007 was a MacBook Pro.
hahahahha! Mac just got owned
I’ve seen a few mac vs pc tests. In most of them, the pcs ran a bit faster, but the fastest of all were when they ran Vista on mac, LOL!
The commercials were better before. These latest ones are pretty lame.
that is only on the new macs, because the hardware is typical intel hardware instead of the awesome mac hardware of the past.
I would bet most of that software does work on vista. if not some of the software probably has free updates.
Eh... it’s decent Intel hardware, though - they’re reference designs, which other makers license and then adulterate to make cheaper and crappier.
