August winds down as we head into the last months of the '08 political season.
Russia's withdrawal from Georgia is murky and ambiguous as is the US response to the situation.
Pakistani President Musharef resigns today , and a TD moves over Cuba headed toward FL.
GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, S-T-I-L-L TRYING TO RECOVER FROM THE HURRICANE AND IT IS SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. All we need is another one bout now and the way the one in Fl is moving about it would not surprise me to see it just head this way....
In a couple of weeks I am going to be ‘batching’ it for about 8 days. D and family, with some friends are going to Disney Work in Fla and gotta tell you, ain't no way I am going to put up with all those younguns, love kids but some the ones they are going with, ain't no way and I love kids, MOST of the time. Believe me, I never show it but woo wee!!!!
More rain expected today which we can use on my shrubs and plants (and lots of grass in the flower bed which I will work on today). I really am proud of my Iris plants and they are spreading slowly but surely.
Had my bowl of grits with two eggs over them, my three cups of coffee and am ready to take on the world. All have a good day OR, the kind of day You want to have.
Toby
My spelling is worse than terrible YOU make the sense out of what I SAID.
lysie, we have a saying down here when something looks real good ‘looks so good it wants to make you want to slap your momma’ (and die of course).
Jemian, you are too, too funny.
Dog , how did you enjoy the ATRW? ride?
lysie, good morning! Kassie, you too! Iowa Granny, HI!
Rav, I go to sleep at 10:00 and wake up at 3:00 alot! I'm wating for the money....
Good morning Molly! How is your mom today? I think of you and her alot... next time you are in WVA or VA, we need to do lunch.
Good morning to you fine folks.
My doctor prescribed OTC tylenol PM. He said the amount needed to cure this ailment would not hurt me. It worked for awhile, a long while.
The porblem is that we have not been able to rent the townhouse yet and paying two mortgages ( or one large combined one) is getting very difficult. We downsized to a manufactured home and the townhouse was not sold due to the market, etc. We are NOT like some who speculated and got caught big time when the market turned downward. This is why I work so hard at getting promotions, etc. and Mr HOb takes any of the on call time he is asked to.
Gosh, that sounds like a pity party. It's not, we're doing fine. It's just an explanation as to why I have not made it down to visit yet!
The kids are doing fine. The girls began the semester on Monday. The youngest began her job on Monday.
JT is out at Fort Sill. I talked with him last night. He wasn’t really happy that he was stuck with some privates during inprocessing but now he is where he should be and is happy as a hog in a wallow. I haven’t heard from the wife, but she is included with “the girls”.
We did find out yesterday that the youngest’s oral surgery will cost more than a new car. Fortunately she won’t be having that for another year or year-and-a-half so we have time to rob some banks or something. I do NOT know how we will get this done. But it will happen. Or her teeth will rot out. It’s as simple as that.
HA! I sound like Johnny!
Summer went by fast all of a sudden. This morning was definitely autumnal. I don’t like that at all.
I’m ready to travel whenever you are.
Sitting here listening to acorns falling onto my deck. Fall is a comin’!
My flowers are so pretty right now...........Do need to move some perennials but will wait until it’s cooler.
Of course, you know it was a funky squirrel! I watched as it ran from side to side looking over the edge, trying to find a point to jump down. He kept twitching his tail while looking! Anyway, I think he is a she and looking for a good spot to "nest" for the winter.
I’m listening to Rush. He’s been talking about Nobama’s half-brother George who lives in Kenya on less than $12 @ year. Gosh, I feel sorry for him. He lives in a cardboard box about 6’ x 9’ and he’s just downright dirt poor.
Shoot, perhaps we could scrape together $12 and double his annual salary.
The list of possibilities, meanwhile, is believed to be down to Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, who planned to campaign in his home state Thursday with Obama.
I hope it's Sebelius, she's a left-wing moonbat that I do NOT understand how she got elected in my home state.
I think the magnetic poles are about to flip, too. It happens every 10,000 years or so. Autumn is beginning in August and Lieberman might be the GOP nominee for VP.
Start jumping up and down, folks. It’s RAPTURE PRACTICE!
We'd better call Al Gore and get an explanation.
Leiberman’s too old to be V.P.
Yep! That’s what we need to do!
Don't overdo, Toby. Are you recovering from the flu, still?
Good Afternoon lysie!
