Christina Applegate, the 36-year-old Emmy-nominated star and producer of "Samantha Who?," is reportedly undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
An announcement confirming the diagnosis was delivered by a representative of the actress late Saturday on "Extra," the celebrity news show:
"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

Prayers for her. I have not really watched any of the shows she’s been in since Married With Children. That was one of my fav shows. Doing laundry on sunday nights and watching MWC was the my sunday night ritual.
Prayers for her, always cracked me up in Married With Children.
“Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead” was a hilarious movie.....
Will pray for her recovery.
Damned shame, I'm telling you!
Damn...I now feel old...Kelly Bundy’s 36! Prayers for her, I saw her in Samantha Who? She is great and I wish the best for her.
MWC, one of my favorite shows ever and a classic sitcom. I went to a taping of it back in 1990, Sunset/Gower studios.
MWC was the anti-Cosby show of the 1990s, i.e. it was was a real family was/is like.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Ms. Applegate.
You make a good point... or two...
I will pray for her complete recovery. Just read an article that said she was diagnosed during a “routine MRI.” I didn’t know there was such a thing as a “routine” MRI, but I hope it means they caught it early.
I count one...two...three...four eyes in that picture.
Cristina Applegate is only 36? Man, do I feel old. I thought she was older than that.
Wow she’s that old? She always looked younger to me. Saw her in a movie that came out a couple of years ago. Forgot which one it was.
This is a sad day in our nation’s history.
