I see what captivated your imagination, and the inspiration for the grotto.

"Excellent poem, NnB. You certainly have a knack for matching the photos, or the other way around." I've got that idea covered, too. I had to pick the picture for this one myself. You can tell the difference.
Exchange Rate
A pictures worth a thousand words, you send your image through,
I dash down but a hundred words and send it back to you.
Youre happy with the process, exclaiming all the while,
You think it is so wonderful, I really have to smile.
Youre matching up an image with a bit of doggerel,
And youve been too nice to mention that they have a bit of smell.
You seem to think youre winning in this game of sleight of hand,
While all Ive done is toss out words and see just where they land.
Like doing up a load of clothes and matching up the socks,
Its not as though I have to take them down to beat on rocks.
I take whats worth a thousand and give you one for ten,
And when I look up one more time youre standing there again.
As you go home just chortling over what you think is great,
Im getting rich as Croesus at this greedy exchange rate.
While you take out these loads, of nonsense that Ive told,
Im filling up my treasure vault with images of gold.

"Did you watch any of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Sam Alito? Senators were given thirty minutes to question the guy: thirty minutes exactly. Senator Joe Bidens question took 23 1/2 minutes. His question took 24 minutes. And Alito was smart. He was brilliant. Do you know what he said? 'Im sorry, could you repeat the question?'"

Thank you, Yorkie. About the Corncakes, do you think they’ll stick if I use a really heavy no-stick pan? I know my husband would love those. He’s insane over cornbread. His Mom always made it with her homemade beans, lol.
My Mom, on the other hand, made brown bread for my Dad with his pot of beans. :) Different strokes, etc.....

Good graphic of Santa, the traveling man. Thank you, he 'supports our troops every day' by wearing red. :)

No, grannie, I’m afraid not. I’ve had it hoarded away for a while. Found it on the net one time. Think I posted that once a long time ago. I am not talented when it comes to making things like some of you folks! (I do good just to be able to post them...LOL~~~) I love going on the hunt though!
To: Cardhu
Billie you should try to download this one as it is not that big, only 2.20 megs. I can handle that. :) Thank you. The music was beautiful, Cardhu.

Very pretty, grannie - I love horses, so of course I’m going to like the picture. :)
To: The Mayor
It was good to read your 'personal' note to all - know you must be so covered up, but appreciate that you take the time every morning to post the daily devotional for us.
Sounds ike your concrete mixer business is beginning to really take hold!
Wishing your friends well in the political arena.

Love the holiday pics - the lemon sponge cake makes me hungry! Still think that “Hug Your Sweetheart Day” pic is so cute and playful - perfect! “And they call it Puppy Love” :)
To: grannie9
Wow...that is a stunner, and such a great poem to go with it. Love it! Thank you, grannie. Have so much fun working on the opening graphics for Amy's Place - appreciate the compliment and see that you enjoy being creative, too. I spend way too much time playing around in my graphics software, but it's not nearly as messy as getting out the easel, brushes and oils - and every bit as satisfying. :)
