Riding the Wind: the terrier as an angel.

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream
I’ll cross the stream - I have a dream

Good Morning, NnB. A Big Thank You for today's Welcome Poem. Do you like the remodeled Welcome Graphic?

As you can see, I'm having to resort to the archives for your poems. :)

Whenever you're ready to come back to work, just give me a holler.

Uhhhh ..... BTW .... same contract. LOL

Perhaps you have merely failed to notice that you did not provide attribution for your source?

I often wish I could edit my posts. That would be a useful ability.

Thank you so much for the compliment. Keeping up with the “Jones” on this thread is quite a challenge, as you all do such excellent work. I will strive even harder. ;)

Darn it!! Sorry ... very sorry!!!

Looks like another misplaced <

I guess I get in too much of a hurry and overlook something so obvious.

LOL.. Yorkie, thank you for the recipe for Corn Cakes. I saved it, and happen to have some fresh corn meal in the cabinet. They look and sound yummy.

Excellent poem, NnB. You certainly have a knack for matching the photos, or the other way around.

What Do Angels Look Like?

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.
Like the taxi driver who told you that your eyes light up the world, when you smile.
Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.
Like the poor man who offered to share his lunch with you.
Like the rich man who showed you that it really is all possible, if only you believe.
Like the stranger who just happened to come along, when you had lost your way.
Like the friend who touched your heart, when you didn't think you had one to touch.
Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types.
Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without.
They come disguised as friends, enemies, teachers, students, lovers and fools.
They don't take life too seriously, they travel light.
They leave no forwarding address, they ask nothing in return.
They wear sneakers with gossamer wings, they get a deal on dry cleaning.
They are hard to find when your eyes are closed,
But they are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.

I made this girl quite some time ago, so decided to build a Grotto around her.

Now it's time for a short nap, as I've been up since 4:15 this morning. If a card game happens to come my way tonight, I want to be fresh and feisty. ;)

Yuck on the Youtube link. : )

He is so egotistical already .... can you image what a Vice Presidency would do to that ego?

Q. Why will Jimmy Carter vote for Obama/Biden?
A. Because Jimmy doesn't want to be the worst President in history.

Oh, I hope you aren’t disappointed. They DO tend to stick to the skillet - no matter how much oil or bacon drippings are used. (The sugar, perhaps?)

They are lacy, crispy and delicious - if you can get them off the skillet. :)
