In the 'pings' set in some comments, besides the expected member names, I have seen the word 'All'. Does that 'ping' the message to everyone who already left a comment on that thread? How about those who comment after? And are there other 'special' words, besides 'All'?

The term "All" is actually a little bit deceiving.

John Robinson has tried to make the pings go outside the Milky Way, but hasn't yet been able to pull it off.
