Good morning.
Good morning Lysie. Breakfast today for me cinnamon and raisin bagel toasted with melted English butter yummy. All washed down with a fresly made cup of coffee.
Trying to decide tonight if I have chicken curry with rice or naan bread probably go for corriander and garlic naan.
Good Morning Everyone. There was no rain overnight.
cinnamon and raisin bagel toasted with melted English butter
One of my favorites.
No rain for your area is good news.
Finished the bagel and coffee now deciding what to do before shopping.
Below is a photo I took last week of a cycle path and field next door to our local supermarket ASDA (who are owned by Walmart). I have noticed a lot more America type goods and produce in the store since Walmart bought them out. The overflow car park sign refers to the designer outlet which is next door to ASDA
Interestingly enough though a lot of food stores seem to be having a push on American produce recently. You can easily get dried cranberries which at one time would have only been at specialist shops plus the German supermarket I normally use in the town centre now stocks ranch dressing which before there was a sort garlic and herb dressing but not real ranch dressing. Something which I love having been introduced to it by a couple of freepers.
Having said that Arsenal football club used to have a stand with smoked salmon and mayo bagels and they were lovely. I think they are slightly different bagel recipe to the ones that the Supermarket have that seem more dense and are probably designed to toast.
I actually prefer ASDA’s own to the other brand they have which they call New York Bagels I doubt they are anything like a New York Bagel. Is this just an English copy or is there actually a company or brand called New York Bagels sold in the States?
>>Will Big Brown win the Triple Crown?
Is the Pope Catholic?
It is my understanding that a New York Bagel is a type of bagel based on the ingredients and the way it is “cooked”.
peace pact=Israel surrender plan, IMO
The upshoot in oil prices has a huge headline in the WS Journal today. And a sub-text is
“...is sure to add fire to accusations that the gush in prices is largely the work of market speculators. “
The Dems say the oil companies are behind it but the Dems are the winners with high prices in an election year. Who might that be? Soros and friends? Muslims for Obama?
The world is gettting crazy.
agree about the bagel's dryness...Really, I'd never heard of them until we came back from living in S. Korea in 1974....then their popularity seemed to have spread outside the Jewish community, and they were a hot commodity. At least that was my impression. Another thing I noticed after 2 years overseas was that indoor plants were suddenly very popular! LOL!
I could get depressed over this, but I’m too stubborn. I plan on taking it in stride. We’ve been down this road before. Still, if Soros is behind this, I want heads to roll.
peace pact=Israel surrender plan
Exactly.
Wish we were at Bob Evans. That was great fun!
Exponential technologies.. the future is brighter than we think??
The audacity of the Dems Am. thinker
O's plan to disarm the U.S. IBD
I don't believe our country has moved as far left as O's plans for us. Whether the electorate wakes up in time from its delusional dreams is the key...the MSM certainly won't help spread the alarm..
good (warm) morning everyone.
Reading the paper outside in the cooler morning air is a treat.
Memorial service today at 2 for friend who died in March.
