Finished the bagel and coffee now deciding what to do before shopping.
Below is a photo I took last week of a cycle path and field next door to our local supermarket ASDA (who are owned by Walmart). I have noticed a lot more America type goods and produce in the store since Walmart bought them out. The overflow car park sign refers to the designer outlet which is next door to ASDA
Interestingly enough though a lot of food stores seem to be having a push on American produce recently. You can easily get dried cranberries which at one time would have only been at specialist shops plus the German supermarket I normally use in the town centre now stocks ranch dressing which before there was a sort garlic and herb dressing but not real ranch dressing. Something which I love having been introduced to it by a couple of freepers.
agree about the bagel's dryness...Really, I'd never heard of them until we came back from living in S. Korea in 1974....then their popularity seemed to have spread outside the Jewish community, and they were a hot commodity. At least that was my impression. Another thing I noticed after 2 years overseas was that indoor plants were suddenly very popular! LOL!
